This was awesome! Interesting how they swapped over to the A321 neos from the A330s. My sister flew to Hawaii twice on this airline the past two years and two years ago (from lax) got the a330, but this year she got the neo. I prefer the bigger planes on those longer flights but that’s just me.

Well If he flew to Honolulu, he might've flown on an A330. Lihue airport is quite tiny, and could NOT fly to Lihue. Your sister probably flew to HNL, where Hawaiian varries the use of A330s and A321s.

We have a condo on the Big Island, and Hawaiian is our preferred airline to fly LAX-KOA or LAX-HNL-ITO. United, Delta and American's product is inferior to Hawaiian's, and even without IFE monitors Hawaiian's A321 product is the best narrow-body domestic product in the USA. It's one of the few U.S. domestic first class products that actually comes close to being enough of an improvement over economy to be worth the extra money or miles.

Yes! My friends like to tease me as I am usually at the airport three to four hours before my departure time. I would much rather be at my gate having a snack and reading than rushing in at the last moment praying that I will get through security in a reasonable amount of time. I have two friends who consistently show up at the last moment and have to rush through everything hoping that they make their flight. They have actually missed their flights several times over the years. I just can't comprehend such behavior 🤔😂. Guess they like living "in a rush".

As the A321neo becomes more ubiquitous on long flights in the next couple of years, more airlines must install those door 3 lavatories. There's already little space to move around, these are necessary to prevent the single aisle from getting congested.

So I got to fly both a Hawaiian A330 and an A321 Neo on my recent trip to Hawaii and I have to say the A321NEO in economy felt like a severe downgrade from the Hawaiian I knew and loved, especially compared to the 767s they replaced. They got rid of the IFE and sacrificed a lot of legroom. It felt too cramped for the long flights these planes were meant for. Keep in mind I’m only 6’0 tall so I’m not freakishly tall but the lack of legroom was very noticeable. I was let down by my experience on hawaiian’s A321NEO. It didn’t feel like Hawaiian at all

Is the tradition of Hawaiian dancers greeting passengers not a thing anymore, were are the lei's?
@rfrover Жыл бұрын
I’m afraid Hawaii hasn’t had dancers and leis to greet planes since the 1960s. At that time there were but a handful of daily flights arriving from the mainland. It would be practically and physically impossible to do the same thing today. You always have the option of paying to get lei’d with some travel packages like COSTCO, but it’s not really the same. And, you can always watch Elvis’s Blue Hawaii for a taste of the glory days (when people spent their entire working lives saving and dreaming of a two week Hawaiian holiday!)
