i don't know, in my opinion, business class is one of the only options that are worth it for the price. good sleep in a comfortable seat on a flight goes a long way and business class is more attainable and has more value than first class or premium economy. i would 100% get a business class seat when i can afford one.

ChasedPuppet they never were 5 stars. They got their 5th star based on business class seats they were going to get in the future but at the time of the 5th star they didn’t have those seats. How crazy is that. Skytraxx is corrupt and Lufthansa paid for their 5th star.

I have to say I recently flew Lufthansa From CAI-MUN-LAX both flights were okay but not the best. To begin with, the flight/seats were very uncomfortable. The food and service were basic. But the staff was nice. I flew LH because of its reputation and since I have never flown it. But now I would otherwise unless it's my last resort. However, Austrian on the other hand I enjoyed it very much. I had flown them for the same trip but from LAX-VIE-CAI the service was great, food was delicious and the seats were comfortable. That would be an option for me in the future.

It'd be nice if airlines/aircraft manufacturers make a way for us passengers to get a copy of the recording of the landing and takeoff of each flight we take. The A360 is indeed a very nice and most modern plane. Back in March 2017, at my home-airport DUS, I,ve had the really great chance to visit a Singapore Airlines A350. I,ve sat in the cockpit, could try and enjoyed a "flad-bed" First-Class Seat and took a look into the crew-rest-room section, located in the very back of the plane. My highlight was to greet the entire flight-crew, incl. the flight-attentands with their traditional SIN cabin-dress uniforms. Before the outbreak of the still lasting "Covid-19"-pandemy, SIN operated a daily DUS-Changi service. The flight-time is approx. 12 hours.

I agree with the main premise of the video, I don't put any credence at all on a Skytrax rating. There's too many airlines which I *know* should be 5 star but aren't. I could add Cathay Pacific which is not, yet Garuda and Hainan which are. I think many top airlines just rely on word of mouth and what people actually know from personal experience.

Every passenger can get a full amenity kit or ask for different items. I received a tooth brush and eye mask because I forgot mine during last years flight from Frankfurt to singapore. There different Snacks to chose from at any time of the flight, the flight attendends bring them to you or you can get them yourself at the mini bars...

I got to fly on Lufthansas 747-8 once and they handed out Menu Cards aswell as hot towels (twice!). Maybe that’s just varying on the destinations they serve. Edit: In Economy

I like your videos very much. So much in fact that I never "EVER" subscribe to any videos. But, I am making an exception today and subscribing to yours. I like very much the fact how polite you are and always thank the airlines. And, your fair ratings. I retired from United Airlines in 2016 and still love to travel. I still get reduced passes on other carriers to this day. Sad to say that I haven't had the opportunity to travel on some other carriers. But, plan to in the future. I don't know if you have had the opportunity to make a trip from LAS to ICN on Korean Airlines. I have and it's such a lovely flight. My wife and I went in economy. It was a really great experience. I hope you'll have the chance to make the trip for yourself. Also, Korean Airlines does a seasonal flight from ICN to CRK in the Philippines. This to is a great flight. Happy travels and best wishes. I used to fly from FRA to SIN 6 times a year and honestly after flying Lufthansa it was our first and last time on this route. Singapore Airlines has so much more to offer and the cabin crew is so much better. Always choose Singapore Airlines on ur route to and from SIN.

Not nearly as strange as the loud, annoying and continuous humming noise, like someone wailing, that came as the MD-11 taxied. It disappeared when the plane stopped on the taxiway and you also didn't hear it in flight. I had 3 flights on the MD-11 (one of them with 2 stops) and all of them had it. I didn't fly on the DC-10 to know if it came from the older project or if it was exclusive to the MD-11, but I never heard that noise on any other plane model.

Having just watched your SF to Frankfurt economy flight, I wouldn't rate this any higher. The food service was better but the seating was tighter than the United flight. Good, but not great.

The thing is with the 5 star airlines it comes down to luck, some days the service will be unmatched others it’s only good, sometimes the food will be amazing, other time’s just average. It all depends on the day and often your own expectations.

I just watched David's report of Singapore-Istanbul on Turkish Airlines' economy class, and it was FAR superior. Yet TK is 3-star and LH is 5-star... Skytrax is totally discredited!

Lucky you. When I was flying LH A350 they shows safety videos in 3 languages (!) before and during takeoff. I didn't see anything on onboard cameras for at least 15 minutes! I was annoyed in middle row...

Nice video. I didn’t know LH we’re flying MUC-SIN route. The A350 is a superb plane. Is it as Quiet as the A380? I flew with LH on the SIN-FRA route & paid $300SGD extra to upgrade to the Premium cabin. Not a huge difference in the food menu, but larger seats with more seat pitch helped me get more sleep on the flight. Are you going to upload the Darwin to Singapore flight with silk air? That would be an interesting video..

9-abreast seating in the A350 looks like a tight squeeze. For a 12 hours flight, Econ class would be OK with an adjacent empty seat. I noticed the business class seats are quite narrow. So, it's just a 4-Star airline because of 3-Star seating.
