This three part improvisation and the more recent five part improvisation both from St Sernin serve to demonstrate Mon DuPont’s mastery of the art and of this organ. The frequent registration changes made manually and use the of the couplers on this organ demonstrate this mastery. No solid state stop system on this wonderful CC instrument. Is it just me who may believe that Mon DuPont is at his most inspired when improvising at this instrument. Having had the privilege of hearing him play at the Toulouse Organ Festival in the past, I look forward to further recordings.
