@funtomias4 жыл бұрын
@@esentea Haha yes of course... I just find that even though he has the J and 'blocks' most of the nut range combinations, the combination of how the action developed on the river and the stack/bet sizes make it more unlikely that Koon is bluffing. I'm not saying that never happens, since there is no 100% strategy... but still.

@@cameronmartin719 Yeah he played the nuts masterfully here, but 77 is the weakest full house. He might've just check-called? I don't think he would 3-bet with 77. Tan Xuan's bluff was awesome, but maybe he gave Koon too much credit for 3-betting 77, 88, 99. I don't think Koon folds any J combos because he'd also believe it unlikely Xuan has a J.

45:50 - 45:00 is EXACTLY the difference between a great online and live player Jason Koon spends the hand joking with the guy, talking about his reaction. Mikita starts acting like a moron and talking about the equity on the turn, which LITERALLY no one there cares about. Jason Koon redirects the conversation and moves it back to how funny the other guy's reaction was. Very tactful of Jason, he took the other guy's stack but made it fun and made the other guy walk away feeling good Jason Koon is such a crusher in all aspects, what a legend

L E Equities don’t run that close, not with flush > full house. They only appear to run close because quite often people get a piece of something. Same can be said for PLO, just because you can hit a pair on a board doesn’t mean your equity is going to run close to opponents.

14:50, Lex claims that Short-Deck and Omaha take as much skill as Hold'em. Lex, I love ya man, you're an amazing player. But we both know in games like Omaha/Short-Deck the cards "play themselves" FAR more often than in Hold'em. There is plenty of skill involved, I agree with that, but Hold'em requires much more skill & imagination. (Especially H/U.) Side note: We've actually played against one-another long ago in Vegas. I want to say around 2010. James Woods was at the table as well. And, I believe Venessa Selbst was too, but this was before she received any media attention. She was the MOST ACID and VILE human-being. "COME ON TUFF GUY!" She said this to me after I raised her, SILENTLY. I didn't say a WORD, just put my chips in, and she took it PERSONAL and started calling me tough-guy. LOL. Women shouldn't play poker. Well, she shouldn't.
