Mad respect. I'm just like you big bikes in the dirt are not my thing. With you repeating the tips I think I'll watch a few times and get them ingrained in my head.

I started wincing within 1 min of the start,when he demonstrated lifting the 1200.My back screamed "NO!" ,I did myself no good just carrying individual fork tubes from my CBR(took me over a week to recover & I'm still getting bruises appear 2 weeks later lol) The hardest part of offroading for me,was trying to concentrate on looking far enough ahead. Well done mate,thoroughly enjoyable video.RSMF

Think I'm going to have to book myself in for that sometime. Just goes to show what a difference proper tyres makes off road - I took my Ducati Multistrada 1200s on a green lane the other day on pure road tyres, slipped over on the first patch of wet mud :-/

The trick to turning the Tiger while standing up is slightly turning your leg into the bike on the outside leg and kneeing into the tank slightly keeping your weight on the outside peg. Keep your body more or less perpendicular to the ground.Use the pressure of your knee to push the bike down into the turn.

That looks great fun! Doubt if 95% of owners of big ADVs would do any of that sort of really rough riding which means they've wasted their money in the same way most owners of litre+ hyper sports bikes have wasted their money unless they go on track several times per year.
@davexjs58896 жыл бұрын
That was very enjoyable although I think the bike's were to big for the terrain . Perhaps something a little smaller. Loved the commentary what a great day out thank you.

I did this with Triumph in Moab, Utah. Tiger 1200 XCA myself, in green. Loved it. But at the end of the day I was shocked with how exhausted I was. Riding a big bike like this is very different from my light little KTM 525 MXC.

Great video. I am looking to do this somewhen. The thing is be it the tiger or the gs. They are big heavy bikes to be doing this on. Saying that I'm a large chap and having tried both the gs and explorer gen 1. I bought the explorer. Saying that I wouldn't want to take mine off road as that's not what I bought it for. Look forward to the next part regards Thomas

frankly speaking looks like they didn't teach you how to handle the bike in a curve while standing on the pegs, that's why you feel so unconfindent while riding. Once you learn the technique you'll never ride again seated.... BTW great video amazing place thumbs up to you and Triumph for doing this incredible event

I'm still a bit mystified by the need for a 1200 cc adventure bike. It seems to me the 800 does everything you could possibly need and it's lighter and easier to control. Maybe I just need to spend more time on a 1200 cc bike to really understand this.

Wow that was awesome might give that a try what like price and is that all on one day or over a couple of days it would be great to compare my Tiger 800 2017 model with the new Tiger 800 2018 model by haven’t had my Tiger probably off road just some farm dirt roads
@LambChopRides6 жыл бұрын
Well worth trying Gavin if you want to test out the Tiger or Scrambler off-road. £300 really isnt a lot of money for what your getting out of it.

Honestly... none of these bikes should really be used for this type of driving. The "off-road" feature/marketing on these bikes is really just a farce. There are plenty of bikes designed to drive on terrain like this. This type of riding on these bikes will do nothing but damage these bikes. Get a proper Enduro bike. A Tiger 1200 is really ridiculous for this.
