I won one of these back in April. I love it! It’s the 2017 model on a 2019 plate I’ve got. Yep fuel tank or lack of, is a pain in the arse but Christ what a sound she makes. Love my mt 09’s sound with the Acrapovic, but the bobber going from 3rd gear up is epic! I’m lucky to have 2 amazing bikes!! Bobber for every ride puts a smile on my face!

A few years back this was pretty much top of my list of "Bikes I want to have when I get my full license", but the absolute thimble of a fuel tank was a real turn off, glad to see that they've improved on the old one.

Pip, pip, cheerio and all that rot. Nice video. I have an Indian Scout Bobber but went with my friend today to buy a Triumph Bobber. I gotta say it is a beautiful bike. Much prettier than the Indian. I look forward to riding the Triumph.

Loved the first ride. I did personally find the insta 360’s position when looking through your POV kinda distracting as it blocked the road ahead. Might just be me, just thought I’d mention it. Cheers.

Spicy KZbin in its infinite wisdom only shows me your first ride videos. It never shows up final reviews for me. I don't know why but there you go. As for the bike, I think I'd have the more practical Speedmaster which is basically this with two seats and the option for panniers.

Riding at chilled out speeds is as important as riding at silly speeds, especially on larger cc bikes as they so often sacrifice mild manners to give that raw umph and grunt. Triumph have the bolt-on thing down to a tee, as do Harley... I think so many other manufacturers can learn from them. I am still conflicted by the Bobber, it is a wonderful motorcycle, but Triumph have taken the customisation of creating a unique bobber style bike away from the owner, which I kind of feel destroys the point of it.... but in a world of instant gratification, I can see why it is such a popular motorcycle.
@Bavenbushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you on the looks.... It's brilliant! Other bobbers always look a bit 'frankenbike' to me! And who doesn't love a good bit of torque from a twin (not to be confused with 'talk' from the mother in law)! Talking about traffic and your speed tests, I've actually been keeping a real close eye on speed recently and going at 125 speeds and I'm still stuck behind traffic! Seriously thinking about going back to the world of 125s.... Now when are triumph going to make one!? Great first ride video! And I always hit the like out of the f#*k button!

Like yourself, I'm not a massive fan of cruisers or bobbers; I prefer naked bikes (SuperDuke 1290R, one day I will have you :c), but I do have to admit that bobbers especially do have a soft spot in my heart. Just something about the vibe they give off, that classic biker vibe. Funny that Divvy has equal power to a 1200cc bike though :D

Hey man- loved the review. I'm thinking of getting one of these so the answer to this question will have a big influence. I mostly ride in urban, suburban areas so I don't get speeds up very high. Does this mean I'll never leave 1-3 gears? Would you buy it if you mostly rode it as a commuter bike?

I really like these but they're just too expensive for a bike made in Thailand. I'd pay a bit more if it was a genuinely UK made bike rather than a bike pretending to be british... although even if it was made here, it's still a bit rich.
@R3RLEE Жыл бұрын
Here we go ...its British ffs the engine is british its assembled Thailand show me a bike that hasn't got parts from Thailand. And why does it make any bike inferior. I've got a rocket 3r and l dont give a monkeys if it has parts from Thailand its a brilliant bike.
@andrewmack2161 Жыл бұрын
@@R3RLEE I'm happy you have an opinion but it one I disagree with. IMO Marketing heavily upon its Britishness but making it elsewhere doesn't justify the premium they're asking for. Having said that, I'd consider a good used one at the right (low) price.
@R3RLEE Жыл бұрын
@@andrewmack2161 So after all that its the price your not happy with rather than you think it isnt British.... Its great value for money, quality product for a reasonable price. I paid £21000 for mine and worth every penny.
@andrewmack2161 Жыл бұрын
@@R3RLEE It's good that you're happy with your purchase, but I wouldn't be happy paying that for a British bike that's made elsewhere. I'd have more difficulty with a Thai made Ducati because they don't market it in the same way as an Italian made bike. They don't have a logo with an Italian stylised flag etc etc, although I'm not sure which models are made there and exported back to Europe.
