Triumph 900 Street Twin, all the way Ordered mine after a 2 hour test ride fantastic little bike, and way better than the new Bonnie I bought back in 1978 lol it feels fantastic to ride can't wait for March 1st 2017 :)
@DukerBoyYoutube8 жыл бұрын
Very good comparoo... but think about servicing and network , triumph beats it clear , with a 16,000Kms service interval for the bonneville range triumph is any day a easier bike to live with .
@gusoliverbar93927 жыл бұрын
that's why I don't think is a very good comparison. Triumph engine is built to last and that is why has low performance.

I rode them both extensively and bought the Triumph: the Ducati was faster, and better on the freeway, the Triumph had less engine breaking, a fabulous fun factor in torque, smoother, more comfortable, looks better IMO, and sounds amazing. Although, the off-road point you made is intriguing which I did not try to do.
@pateris6 жыл бұрын
Yes, usually, for testers, you know that for them, the fastest is the best, regardless of puny details like reliability, maintenance/oil costs, etc…

Amazing review!! No rambling, clear and informed facts! Thank you, as I am hesitating between these 2...still don't know which one to buy...leaning towards the Triumph though....
@arunkottolli8 жыл бұрын
Triumph Street Twin's greatest disadvantage is its Street Presence. The bike looks like a modified RE Bullet! Even after spending Rs 8+ lakhs, one does not get the respect on the road - when compared to Ducati Scrambler. Between the two, Ducati is a better choice for looks and City rides in India. Ideally, I would save up a bit more and go for Triumph Street Triple or Speed Triple.
@harishkiran36638 жыл бұрын
Oh boy, you just rev it up a bit and you will have all the attention you want and more.
@arunkottolli8 жыл бұрын
Agreed! But in city traffic, there is hardly any space to rev up the bike. I have been riding an Enfield 500 for 24 years, and occasionally, I run in to Thiumph Bonneville on the road, but I can't make out its a Bonneville until I come close to the bike - but with Street Triple or Bennelli or Harley bikes, I know the bike instantly by the sound and looks. The street presence is a BIG factor on City roads. People make way for bikes with bigger street presence. I have seen this on my Enfield or CBR650. Seeing people make way - is a good ego massage!
@AjaySinghShahu8 жыл бұрын
sorry for the late reply Sir, but if you need road presence in the sense that the bike should have loud humming sound then you must consider Benelli 600i, its 4 cylinder gives the loudest blast on the road, people will make way even if you are few KM away from them. Buying a Triumph is itself a big proud decision, its a legacy, and i think this is what that matters the most, Brand.

MotoViking This is very much a real thing. One of my friends had a HD Iron 883 and people would leave scratches on the fuel tank (which was of a black matte finish, to make it worse) when he’d park it outside cafes.

Great review - as always! I have test ridden both for a short time. Still can 't decide which one I would buy (for my next bike). In terms of riding, Ducati felt like heaven. I was immediately "at home", both in traffic and on the open road. But in terms of maintenance and fuel consumption the Triumph is bike that you will be really happy to own! It looks also more comfortable, but I hate the 5-gear box, and the engine ends too soon - and I am someone who doesn 't love high revving engines, so... imagine that! Having said that, I have to admit that the Street Twin I rode, had just 650 km on. So maybe things will get much better when it will be broken-in. I don 't know.

Well produced and insightful video. I liked how your thoughts on refinement vs sportiness. For me though, that Ducati is hideous and the Street Twin is beautiful. You might say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you probably should have talked more about aesthetics. End of the day, you still have to look good, so i went with the Triumph.

Great comparison Kartikeya... 😊 One more thing you could compare is the maintenance costs, the Ducati spares & service costs significantly higher than the Triumph. I heard the 1st service on the Scrambler costs Rs 13,100 & the same on the Street Twin costs Rs 6,500 approximately. The better service & dealer network that Triumph has in India is also a plus point for hassle free ownership!! 😊

@SirKart8 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yeah.. all Ducati's with the L-Twin air-cooled engines tend to create a "toasty" environment because the rear cylinder sits a bit close to the rider. But, I personally feel, there always a few compromises and this is one I'd be willing to make unless i was looking at it primarily as a city commuter.

Triumph Bonneville or the street twin is MILES ahead of Royal Enfield Bullet in all aspects of Motorcycling. Fundamentally, Truimph bikes have new technology - vs 60 year old technology on Bullet! Bullet has not changed much in last 60+ years, The only change on bullet is a UCE all aluminium engine, and an additional 5th gear. I have a 24 years old Enfield 500, and is as fast as the newer bullets.
