Interesting. Good to see your set-up. I actually have a Helinox cotmax and I put my 1-man MSR Carbon Reflex tent right on top of it. Works perfectly. I'm off the ground, don't need a ground tarp or have to worry about the ground surface, I never have to worry about rain getting in, no worries about frozen ground, etc. The extra space and weight of the cot is cancelled out by not needing tarps/footprints and sleeping mats. I just put my sleeping bag down and it's comfy (to me). Cheers

I have the cot max. Fantastic piece of kit. Built to last a lifetime. As for the jibes about my adopted country, well as somebody who originates from the part of Yorkshire that should be in Lancashire, I forgive you.

I have a Helinox Cot frame. I found I wanted to take an old closed cell foam mat under it because you can feel the cold air underneath. Otherwise it is comfy and relatively light.

Hi Pete, can I ask, did you fix a closed cell mat beneath/underside of the cot fabric please?

@@alexanderfoster5497 - Hi. No i just put an old closed cell mat under frame Helinox Cot frame just to help stop the cold air…

I'm liking this idea as I can use extensions to turn it into a lightweight table for art market display. I'm worried the legs will poke holes in the base of Wingman. After 4 years has this been an issue?

Great video ! Love the back drop . It leaves me wondering about the Goose ? No one has done a long term review or told us how the tent has held up over time . Hoping you could shed sum light on the subject ? How’s the Goose after sum good use ? Thanks for all your great vids ! Keep em coming .

Had mine for a year now, multiple trips, its a great lil tent if you don't mind tight spaces. It is VERY dark inside with all the canvas covers down. Needs a bag upgrade or serious liner for cold weather (freezing) use. Amazon has a cot that is about 4.5 inches tall that I am about to use in my set-up.

Stuart that "Helinox" cot? thing looks like the old camp stretchers, but a bit more fancy, we used when camping in our youth. Cot =baby sleeping equipment. We in NZ still call them tents - swag is purely Australian.

@@stuartfillingham I’ve done it. Cot, and swag both on their way, thanks again for the solid video. I have been in a couple spills, and sleeping on the road comfortably can be difficult as you point out, I’m really looking forward to this upgrade from my blow up pad and Abel Brown nomad tent. (Don’t get me wrong I love that thing, but this is luxury.)

Stuart, are you aware of this security campaign for several models from Triumph, SB560?. I received a mail from Triumph Spain about the need to change the electrical cables that are together with clutch cable. It seems that the clutch cable can damage those electrical ones resulting in malfunction of blinkers, head light, and even stop the engine.
