This was my test ride of the Triumph T120 Bonneville, the bike was supplied to me by‪@triumphworldchesterfield5856‬, unfortunately that same week Liz Truss and Mr Kamikaze decided to destroy the mortgage market and we got hit with an additional £300 per month, wiping out my hopes of a (nearly) new bike this year.
I am honestly in love with this bike and I will definitely be working towards owning one as the lazy Sunday bike to get up to the moors or out to the coast with the missus on the back.
There have been some technical issues with the new GoPro on this video and a lot of good footage lost, however I hope you enjoy it and I definitely recommend getting yourself in for a test ride.

A friend of mine has just swopped his T120 for a 900 Speed Twin...He rates it over the 120...l'm still riding my Street Triple 675. However l suspect l will eventually have to move to a more 'sensible` bike like one of the Triumph Classics...Age dictates and suggests a comfier riding position whilst still enjoying riding a motorcycle. Of course the classic series is never going to rival the Striple in terms of handle, performance and potential hooligan mode...but perhaps a more sedate riding style is now called for. I've been riding for 61 years..from the Rocker era until now.... it's been a hell of an enjoyable journey ...Greetings from España...where the roads are mostly dry....

i have done many 5 hour days on my diamond edition T120 . Touring is an option if you don't mind the wind and me mates don't run over 70 MPH so the wind is not a problem. The seat is way better than the one on the Speed twin. The Bonneville is a dad-couch without the ADV screen . The T120 needs a tire change as the stock tires suck but the OEM Pirellis they last forever.

Nice review mate. I actually had the three bikes, z900rs, speed twin and t120. The three bikes are pretty great, in my humble opinion the most comfortable of all is the t120, the fastest is the z900rs and the fun/torky one is the speed twin 1200. I couldn’t handle riding the speed twin more than an hour, cause after 30 min I felt cramped and uncomfortable, I am not tall 5 10’, knowing that you are taller, but for sure the bike is not for long rides; the t120 excel in that part and the z900rs is less cramped than the speed twin and the bike feels bigger and more relaxed than the ST. I don’t know if you are a fan of the four cylinder , I love this smooth engine very responsive and linear but after a while I do miss the twin, the fun tork , you get out of the twin. If I have to choose one bike, I will go with the T120, as it suits my everyday rides and long rides in weekends, plus it has the fun torky part. But at the end they are all great, that’s why I had the 3 😅. Cheers and ride safe!!

Cheers mate, my GSX-S review was the first time I rode a four pot and I did love the smoothness! Did take a while to get used to the lower toque compared to my triple and the twins I’ve ridden. I’m struggling to find anywhere with a Z900RS available (guess they are that popular). Yeah I can imagine the T120 being the one that has enough of it all if you had to just have one, unfortunately my bank balance will not allow for all 3…..yet 😂

@@shedofrevs I could not find a Z900RS anywhere within 500 miles of me, I ended up purchasing their last 2022 T120 with Red and gold stripe. It was their last 2022 because the 2023 are all in. I got a great deal on it since it was last year's model and they needed to move it. It only had 5 miles on it, so no one was riding it. With that said I had to ride it 280 miles to get it home. There seems to be a shortage of Japanese bikes in Texas. They had all the Ducati and Triumph though. Thanks for the great video. I edit this to say the Z900RS does not have cruise control and I very much enjoy the T120's cruise control in Texas, use it all the time.

Test rode the T120 & Speed Twin, back to back, chalk & cheese. T120 need to match revs & gear for it to get a move on, Speed Twin ample torque everywhere and it just takes off. So, I bought the Speed Twin four years ago this coming July, never regretted it.

I test rode a few bikes as i was looking for my first bike, i narrowed it down to the T120 and the Speed Twin 1200, I went for the Speed Twin as i loved the torque! but i'd like a T120 one day as a second bike for long distance

I’m a 60+ rider and therefore I much prefer the modern classic cruiser that is the T120 over the torquier Speed Twin that appeals more to the younger generation riders. I have had motorcycles for most of my life from Hondas, Yamahas, Harleys, etc. but I can honestly say that Triumph has stolen my heart and of all the Triumphs I’ve had (Bobber and Bonnie) the Bonnie is by far my favorite. The Bobber looks and performs great but that seat is definitely not meant for longer rides. I fondly refer to it as the cruel seat and it really makes me appreciate the comfort of the Bonnie’s bench seat. To each his own.

Given my wife would like to get out with me as a pillion, it’s looks like I will have to review my selection, I think a T120 with a sissy bar to keep her happy is on the cards. Lovely bikes, comfortable and enough there to enjoy a brisk ride in the UK.

I'm 6'3" and the Speed Twin seemed a bit small for me. I've pretty well settled on the T120 for my first bike. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet because I want to put back a bit more money for accessories before I get it.

T120 77•4 ft lbs torque. Speed Twin 77•75 ft lbs. So much for 'High Torque' designation. ST higher power, lighter, 17'' front wheel, better ground clearance, runs hotter (summer discomfort) T120 comfier seat, more relaxed, still goes when you want it to, scrapes pegs.

My biggest issue as our summer trips get longer in milage ( I live In BC Canada ) is that the bonnevilles tires are not tubeless. Think about how you are going to fix a hole in your tires in a bonnie. I love my bonnie but I carry too much equipment just to fix a flat in a spoked rim on my tours. If you are Touring big miles think on that. I love my bonnie.

That is what is keeping me from pulling the purchase trigger on a T-120, otherwise it’s a stellar bike. I know the bike can be converted to tubeless but that is expensive to do. Not sure why Triumph doesn’t take this into consideration.

I hope the bonnie has abs as it's a legal requirement for all new bikes in the UK. The speed twin 1200 is lovely but not for long rides. You can get a comfort king/queen seat that heightens you on the t120 or t100.

Does the new T120 have tubeless tires? I know that spoke wheels usually require tubes.

You all in the UK are spoiled with test rides. Here in the States Harley and BMW are the only dealers offering test rides and even those are no more than 20 minutes. No other dealers allow test rides unless you are on the verge of purchase.
