Hi gentleman Jack ! I think once people become more aware there is a USB port under the seat, they’ll use it. It’s kinda well camouflaged as well. Have you tried it out Jack ? Quite surprising the sale person didn’t know, because also they can refer to their service dept.

My two penneth worth - The extension is useful but make sure excess cable doesn’t foul the underneath of the seat. There’s little more than a few sheets worth of Izal between the seat base and the top of the electrical gubbins. My preferred choice would be to coil excess in the space behind the left hand panel. Also ensure the plug doesn’t come loose. I’m not convinced they are very well made. ps. Izal - A unique British brand of toilet paper that appeared to be used in all municipal and local authority establishments in the 1960’s. This stuff was invented by the Devil and a Yorkshireman. It felt like you were using the rough end of a pineapple to do the ‘necessary’ so not surprisingly, one roll would last several weeks. I’m convinced it was totally waterproof.

Hi Trevor. I checked the clearance and it was ok but that said I may just reroute the cable under the side panel as it is neater. Re the Izal. Yes remember it well and not with nostalgic memories neither 🤪. I remember we had it at work in 1980. I remember asking the cleaners why we had it and it was because it rarely ever got nicked. I wonder why 👍

Salut, j'en suis à ma 3ème bonneville en 4 ans et demi, et les vendeurs sont parfaitement au courant que la moto comporte un port USB sous la selle, il est largement possible de ramener une fiche USB au guidon en passant le cable sous le réservoir en dévissant à la base la selle et en le soulevant pour passer et accrocher le cable sur le cadre proche du faisceau. Bonne continuation. MLJ

Hi Jamie thanks 👍. I didn’t see it in the handbook. I know about the helmet hook though but it’s flimsy and it doesn’t make sense to take the seat off to fasten the helmet. 👍I fitted the Motone helmet lock which is excellent. Thank you for watching the video. Ride safe

At 2:15 in the video, what is the plug that is just beneath (visually below) the fuse box? The gloss black rubber coating. It seems it's a random plug to just a plastic post. I can't seem to determine the function of it.

so i know where to find the USB.. but if anyone knows how to troubleshoot/fix a USB that stopped working, I'd love to know.. service manual mentions no fuse. i've checked every fuse on the bike. its a 2019 speed triple rs, but i assume they're all pretty much the same as far as usb wiring goes.. i changed the battery to a lithium and now it doesn't work..
