It's nice to see Mr. Wood here in a more natural setting than the press interviews I'm used to. Very efficiently explained and nice animations, thanks. My only question around this new engine is: why 90° and not 60°? Is that 120° interval too troublesome on the exhaust side?

Put it in hot hatches pretty please!!! Mini Cooper would be a perfect match. Even city cars would be awesome with that. Fiat 500, Toyota Aygo, etc All small eco friendly cars that would sound the business with a t-Plane design while still being future proof, maybe even as a hybrid system if there’s no other way of keeping the engines. 🤷‍♂️

Soooo, torque is up10% to 87 Nm - about the same as the 1993 Tiger 900 which was also 12.5% bigger than most 800cc bikes. Changing firing order is a better way of getting drive down than digging muddy holes with a 200 kilo bike - oh the new one is 200 kilos ? Progress indeed !

stopped by York triumph in passing on my T400 York triumph has a swanky showroom and full workshop. I asked them if they could book me in for a carb balance as at the time I didn't have a set of gauge's myself and my bike had a little dead spot in the middle. I spoke to the head technician I would like to say mechanic but unfortunately they didn't have any. He told me they can't work on the 90s bikes because they only work on the Imported plug and play bikes from Thailand and they don't even have a set of gauge's in the workshop.

I have a 2020 Tiger 900 Rally Pro and I have to say the engine is fantastic!! The software on the other hand isn't great and has that out-sourced-to-India feel to it but the engineers who built the engine are brilliant.

I have a Tiger 900 GT Pro and a Rally Pro. Prior Triples (Daytona, Speed Triple etc.). Initially apprehensive about the T-Plane crank but it's really good with ONE exception...distinct vibration increase right around the 4200-4300rpm zone. Irritating but liveable. At higher revs the motor acts like a "normal" triple (instant spin up), at lower revs more like a grunty twin. Plenty torque. BTW - no way he just pulled that crank off the assembly line. He's in Hinkley, Tiger 900 manufacturing is ALL in Chonburi Thailand.

An updated Tiger 1050 sport would be interesting but the eV motorcycle option that triumph is jointly working with Williams. wonder if that option would be a proper touring option with two up and proper like luggage carrying option. I Can only say that Yamaha has something similar called cross crank triple engine in their offering.

Are you putting piston rings in these? I think you forgot a few of 'em in my 800XC. How much oil do these burn? Do all cylinders come with compression right from the factory? Mine sure didn't.
