Gil Moore's talent as well as his mastery of his drum kit is why my first brand new drums were a set of Tama Saturn's just like his with two exceptions: I went with only one kick drum instead and chose Royal Pewter for the color (very close to his silver but with more of a blue tint). 😀👍🇺🇸

Gilbiz, you hit the nail on the head! I agree 100%. Gil Moore is a great drummer and singer. I've asked him before how he started singing and he said it was thrusted upon him when he was younger in other bands His analogy is it's like being a plumber and electrician at the same time. You're gonna get zapped at some point! I'm sure he meant being that it's so demanding to do both especially at his level.

its very clear o me now that rik emmitt is one of the best guitarists in the wrld. not only triumph songs but he is amazing classic guitarist and can cove rush song and we all know alex lifeson of rush isnot just great but some would say he is in the top 30 greastest guitarists rik is right there too ive always liked triumph and knew rik was one of the best but after hearing this and finding out hes is a classical genius and covers alex lifeson tunes just by ear rik does thins no even eddie van halen can do. rik is so good. he learns complex sons just listening very quickly. wow hes educated in classical and knows guitar theory. im sure rik can play any thing even eruption. and not to take anything from eddie obviously he. may be in tol 20 guitRists but rik isnt far. away. people dont like rush because of geddy lees voice well lets look at the guitarist alex. a master guitar player with speed and als o. trained clasically he one of the best all of these guys are in the guitarists in the world. i actually love george lynch one of my favorites. hes number. 47. all time even if he was 90 all time out of thousands and thosands hes amazing. all in a different league a master league. of guitarits. so im stating facts based on ability educatiln speed and being able to learn anything by ear in a short time.

But, I will never forget the greatness and power of this song/solo....one of the most outstanding musical/guitar performances in Rock history. Dramatic comment? Watch and decide for yourself. It's unfortunate that the Canadian Music Industry at that time was so under developed business wise...and for the most part still is...The Canadian music Industry wasn't really capable of supporting their home grown talent...Artists from Canada had to leave in order to have a shot at the brass ring...Just to put it into perspective...A platinum album in the USA is one million sold...in Canada a platinum album is one hundred thousand sold...There are a lot of Canadian bands from the past that had they had the right people behind them to break them in the USA...they would have been just as big as the American bands...and Triumph would have been one of them.

Rik Emmett is one of the best rock guitarists of all time. Obviously he can shred it up no problem, but his ability to throw down some original flamenco or classical style stuff is unmatched by any other rock player I've ever seen, including Malmsteen, Eddie or even my favorite, Paul Gilbert. Until David Russell joins AC/DC or something insane like that, Rik's the best crossover guy in rock. His body of work stands for itself.
