Triumph Speed Twin / Motone Saturn V Exhausts / Fitting & POV Riding Footage

I wanted something a bit different exhaust wise for my Speed Twin, and these Motone Saturn V certainly fitted the bill!
Watch me fit them, fire them up, and show you some riding footage.
A couple of points to note if you are interested in them, the jubilee clips that come with them are terrible quality, just reuse the original exhaust ones. And stick some thread lock on the end cap bolts, I nearly lost one of the end caps as they'd come loose!

I just recently installed the "Shorty Performers" by Cone Engineering (Long Beach, California). They seem to provide a smoother ride through the gears. Same volume as before when it was straight-piped, no Cat Converter. Although not as harsh sounding. 2022 Triumph Bonneville T120

I have got some Hitchcox drag pipes to fit now, I fancied a change! Not sure if they’ll be too much, so we’ll see!

Yes, they still look great, and am super happy with them, although as mentioned be sure not to use the supplied jubilee clips as they are rubbish!

I have the same pipes bought them when they first came out. I did not realise they have a baffle? Was told to decat it to get all the full potential, have you thought about that?

Yep, take those baffles out to unleash their proper sound! 😉 I have an x pipe fitted now, in fact there's been a lot of mods on this bike since this video and it's a proper weapon now!

@@wildhogget69 I used the Tec x pipe. If you look at my Speed Twin playlist there are more details of all the mods I've done in there including the Power Commander. 👍🏻Which reminds me, I really need to do an update video on her at some point soon!

@@ukveganbikers just got home and realised my pipes never came with a baffle installed!! I wonder what those 3 hex head screws are for???

@@wildhogget69 strange, you’d think they would all come with baffles as standard! The 3 screws hold the top piece of the end can on. I know this because mine were loose and it was rattling! 😂

Were they the baffles you removed and was there much difference when removed?

It was the baffles indeed, and it makes a big difference, maybe not in terms of power but certainly in terms of noise!

@@ukveganbikers Thanks for reply. Once you undid the end screw did you have to heat up the exhaust to get the baffle out?

Is it worth the investment?

I would say in terms of performance, no. And they aren’t much lighter than the stock cans, if at all. But if you want a set of end cans that look the business, then yes! They are certainly very eye catching and I have had many positive comments on them!
