Both screens compared - both are the standard Triumph fittment, the flip being fitted to the later SE model

Hi Martyn, very informative video, thanks. I live in Reading and know that stretch of the A4 very well, it's a great swoopy fast ride. I've just bought a 2017 GT 1050 SE but, as I'm 6' 5", I'm getting buffeted across the shoulders and lid at motorway speeds. The seat's on the lowest height setting. Do you think I'd be better off with a 'standard' screen from an ST or an after market with extra height/width ? Any advice would be appreciated and wave if you see a blue GT 1050 on the A4! Thanks again.

Hi, I would guess at your height an aftermarket screen may be the option, I see from reviews its a bit of a lottery as to which screen type would work for you. The standard screen suffers buffeting around the sides for me and the 'low' screen much cleaner air BUT in rain and cold you do get everything straight at you. If you can fins a low screen on e - bay try it = I use the low in summer but if winter or a longer tour expecting rain the SE screen has its benifits. Note only the very late ST screens fit the GT, should be some low GT screens about as many change. Will look out for you!

@@martynpriddy1006 Thanks Martyn, will have a search and try a few. If it's not right can always eBay it! Safe riding and thanks again.

@@MrJKJKJK1974 Realise this is a bit late but did you find a lower screen anywhere? I've found the tall screen to be bloody noisy too!
