Triumph Stag - Dashboard Part 1

Hi Tony. On the strength of your video I've purchased a kit to install in my Stag. I've been doing a fair bit of upgrading during the lockdown (front & rear shocks/springs, CV-type drive shafts, SS Exhaust, Weber carb conversion, LED instrument light conversion plus a lot of other little jobs) and this will be the cherry on the cake. If it looks as good on the car as it does in the video, I'll be very pleased> best wishes and good luck with your mission

Perfect timing, I’m just buffing the new paint on my bare shell after months of welding and spraying so time to start putting it back together. Based on this I know what I’ll be doing to sort my dash!

First I have heard of the Walnut Dash Co. Checked out their website, they seem to have all the variations LHD, RHD etc covered. Definitely on my shopping list for a spring project. Thanks for posting, continued good luck with 'arry.

I bought a set of wood trim for my volvo V70 which looks brilliant, same colour as your set, but it was actually plastic but you would never know it, I think yours is the same, because cutting complicated shapes on wood as thin as that would cause serious problems, I had one or two issues as well, some of the cutouts didn't quite match up with one or two of the many dash buttons (but very close) but overall it looks magnificent, another tip for removing the glue on there or anywhere else for that matter is surgical spirit !

@@ArryTheStag Thanks so much for the reply. I am trying to remove the dashboard size I can get it recovered. The only thing stopping it coming out is the speedo knob. I've unscrewed it from my side but the round retaining screw thingy won't release. Thank you for your help. Jane.
