Great review, terrific reviewer. At 11:03 in my dingle tingled looking at those pine needles clumped on the side of the road, something I deal with every fall around here. Cheers!!!

Thanks for the Scrambler review... This is the one I've been waiting for... and it was worth the wait, especially since I received a notification from Triumph last week that my new Street Scrambler (Green) "has completed final assembly and crossed the pond, your dealer will contact you when it's prepped and ready for pick-up". The "welcome to the Street Scrambler family" was a nice touch as well. I subscribe to several bike channels but 'Bike World' is my go to site for motorcycle news and information. Keep up the great work! I think a shootout between the various Scramblers would be fun, but obviously I'm a little biased.

Have you heard anything else yet? My dealer says he hasn't received any information from Triumph.

Thought I would let you know that my Triumph dealer called today and has a VIN. He said they should have the bike in house and ready to go in about a week. Hopefully you're getting the same call.

Nice one lads. As you said, as much as super high power is fun and all, this and the Desert Sled are the 2 that I have been interested in. I went from my SP1 to a Speed triple and I love the Triumph, so much fun and so usable, even take it greenlaning, admittedly along the most gentle of lanes on the driest of days.....

I have just gotten off of a Yamaha 1700 Midnight Star and onto this bike ... I ride 10% highway 10% dirt and 80 % ragged back roads with twists and bumps.. I love how light 460 pounds is after 740 pounds of bike .. The tires are great on the gravel .. In fact with the first week and 1000 miles I bet I have done 200 of those miles on dirt and washed out gravel back roads.. I have seen more of my county than I knew about ..I just met a teenage bear on one track .. On the thruway she is happy at 75 with lots more to give and flickable as needed .. THis is a great bike ...

I've owned almost every Hinkley Triumph model since 1995. I currently have a Tiger 800 XCa and a Street Scram. I find myself only riding the Scram...if they'd make it compatible with cruise control, it would be the perfect "do all" for most.

I think it is the larger front wheel with the front end geometry that makes the difference off road. I once had a 1976 Bonneville (with 19 inch front wheel) that always felt so confident on a dirt or gravel road. If you ride a modern sport-bike (like my 2010 STR 675) on a gravel road you feel like you will wipe out any second!

What a splendid looking bike - can't wait to give one a good go myself. I agree that it is super-cool looking, but you know when you said it made you look cool......well....... ;0) I'm no great fashion guru, but maybe lose the yellow glasses and go for some McQueenesque goggles??...just sayin'! Great film though, really enjoyed watching it and keep up the great work - All the best - TMF

Can you somehow put 2 panniers on the bike-I haven't found anything other than if you custom make something. I'm looking at one with the Arrow pipe which is probably more compact as it's a 2 into 1. Also do they all have traction control on this later model? Would you advise using traction control going through a river to avoid wheel spin? What do you need (service tool) if servicing the bike yourself to remove the service reminder?

Great review thanks. Made me laugh too. Everyone seems to agree on the smile factor for this bike. I'm going to get a test ride. But most of my riding will be central Paris so I'm not sure whether it's the best option, although it would no doubt do as well as most bikes out there. I just wish I liked the look of the high pipes more. Don't they burn your legs? Look lethal.
@SuperBikesince19777 жыл бұрын
Tony this would be a great bike in Paris. Visibility is good thanks to that upright riding position, there's plenty of leverage through those bars and it's punchy enough to get you ahead of the big scooters. I had no issues with heat near my leg, let alone catching a burn. I live in London and was riding on the launch thinking how good it'd be as a busy city bike, give it a chance and test ride one, I don't think you'd regret it.
@tonydare76147 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks a lot. I'm testing it next week. I wish I was back in London; it's so much more fun riding there. Scooters are, as you say, the biggest hazard here. And there are few open roads, just backed up traffic. But I guess it would be a good bike to go for weekend rides too. Really looking forward to the test ride.

Relax, the pipe under the passenger’s leg is even cooler than the part under the rider’s leg. The pipe gets hot up front, but doesn’t burn anyway. It’s not a bike to ride in shorts obviously.
