Triumph Tiger 900 Clutch Inspection (Failed clutch replacement)

Hello everyone,
In this video I was planning to replace the clutch on my old Tiger 900 with a good set I had around. My clutch isn't slipping or anything but it was gripping high.
That didn't quite work out so I had to put the old one back and decided to call this video a Clutch Inspection rather than replacement.

Screw the cable adjust at the handle bar in almost all the way. Had similar issue that moved my release point to 1/3 clutch release. I’m sure you know this but may help.

Hey there. Thanks for the suggestion. This has a hydraulic clutch. Even tried a new clutch, but no change. I know this engine has been apart at some point in it’s life for the sprag clutch replacement, and possibly something wasn’t assembled correctly then. But didn’t have anymore time for the bike. Hope to get back at it soon though 🤔

Mine is having a similar issue and was going to flush the clutch fluid. Curious if you ever found out what was causing your issue?

Hi there. It has a new clutch now, but no real improvement. Unfortunately I had to spend my time elsewhere and leave bikes alone for a while. Trying to get back into it now and hopefully will fix that as well at some point 🙂

Hi, have a T300 with the same issue. No slippage, just gripping high. Did you solve the issue? T

Hey there. Unfortunately I haven’t. Due to lack of time I didn’t try anything either. But the bike runs fine. It’s just a bit annoying for me.
