A pictorial overview of a restoration of a Triumph TR6 undertaken on behalf of a customer. A suitable Triumph TR6 was located and purchased for the customer. Our customer required a full nut and bolt restoration of the car together with mechanical enhancements to both the powertrain and the chassis, which included Jenvey electronic fuel injection, digital electronic ignition, fast road suspension, port matched exhaust system and improved high flow cooling system.
A full restoration of the body shell was undertaken which included undertaking repairs as necessary to any parts that had suffered with corrosion. Techniques employed in the repair of the body shell included butt welding and bare metal finishing. The body shell was repainted in Cotswold Classic Car Restorations own paint shop in the customers own choice of metallic silver grey.
The interior of the car was also subject to a full restoration which included the refurbishment and re-trimming of the seats in leather in our own trim shop.
A full restoration and refurbishment of all mechanical components was completed with no part of the car being left untouched. The TR6 engine was upgraded and performance was enhanced with the use of modern electronic fuel injection by Jenvey and a complimentary digital ignition and ECU which was all tuned to perfection on a rolling road dyno.
Upon completion the car was shipped to our customer in Mauritius.
