Thats lovely sounds and well done, bought a 76 FHC and loving it. The sound of that engine takes me back to 1980 when my Dad had one.

Nice it started! Sounded quite alright too, they can run lumpy on idle, I have set mine to idle at about 750-800 rpm and it's smoothed out a bit. I see your car has a Webasto roof BONUS!

Lee, Good morning from 'sunny' North Wales. I agree, the 2 Litre sounds superb. It was quite a dilemma to decide to go down the V8 route. Take care 🙂

@@chrisrobinson61 having owned a couple of TR7 in the past I fully understand the temptation to do the swap. I guess do it if you intent to store the original engine, sub frame and so on. I'm sure what ever you do will be great. Not too sure about the socks and sandals. I'll watch with interest.

@@MrLeeflemwell Lee, I'm going to keep and set aside all the parts to revert her back to original. I agree with the socks comment, it's only because my boots are too heavy. Cheers and take care 🙂

@@chrisrobinson61 possibly run out of revs quickly climbing through the gears as you have 1000 less to play with than the 4 pot. Still be cool regardless.
