Trivia for Service Techs; Hot Spring spa/tub

I have a problem with my hot tub, which is why I came across your videos. Maybe you have offer a suggestion? Early 2000s prodigy. I was getting the red power led blinking so I installed a new Watkins heater using pressure switch bypass jumper. Tub powered up and ran up to 104 degrees. During cleaning that day suddenly both lights red and green started blinking. I took the circ pump line off and flushed out a dozen pine needles at which point flow started again and we had bubbles. But a few minutes later both lights again blinked. Same after another flush and cycle of the breakers. Circ pump is original (20 some years old) but seems to work fine. New heater, new control panel, new plumbing, new oznator, brand new filters. The only that is original is the board, jet pump and Circ pump. I’m at a loss… 😢

Both lights blinking is a pressure switch error, so make sure your jumper plug is on correct and snug. However, a bad aux panel at the back of the tub, and a main light lens LED getting wet from a leak, has been known to cause some real head-scratcher glitches.

I dug in some more and moved the board out of the way, at which point I saw a leak dripping right onto the heater... it is this weird tubing that is terminated in a cap fitting with a wire sticking out of it... any idea what that is? @@craigsmith5025

The last guy left a receipt or empty bottle of antifreeze in the plumbing? LoL

Hmm let’s see… antifreeze residue behind the panel, suction fittings / filter stems switched or not fully reattached after the blow out, heater return screen improperly replaced? Something like that?

ahhh ok, then maybe the o-ring got blowed out and was missing or the wall fittings weren't tightened (ie not having the right tool to do make it snug)? @@craigsmith5025

not quite sure that "blowed out" is an actual term but you get the idea.

btw I should mention I am not a "pro". I am one of the rare non-rich hot tub owners who are forced to work on their own hot tubs... anyway thank you for your advice!!!
