If you read about everyday domestic violence cases and where a woman dies at the rate of one a week, then nothing becomes too shocking. Truly sad yes, but not so surprising as the sex trafficking of women is very common in and around Europe and in the US and Australia. And let's not forget Asia where young children are trafficked. Read the Sophie Hayes story of trafficking. One of many.

Patricia here of Alba Technique. Thank you, as always! A little levity in response to such a deeply serious subject: I got the biggest chuckle out of Katherine’s beautiful femininity, giving internal visuals to poor Mark and Gavin (innocently) with no clue that she was causing them to wince and to keep imposing masculine self-mastery against the internal pictures her commentary was imposing. Hilarious! So Feminine; so Masculine. Yay, God. And yay, all 3 of You, Katherine, Mark and Gavin. A blessed Christmas.

Brilliant discussion. It saddens me that the husband and the perpetrators have lodged appeals for their sentences to be reduced. Just proves that the more we wallow in habitual sin, we no longer see anything wrong with sin. So instead of remorse, they are feeling like they have been badly done by and don't deserve any punishment. Habitual sin cuts us off from our moral conscience.

Interestingly there was a short mention of a women who was one of a married couple in a nineties television programme about serial relationships in which she and her husband "performed" to camera on Channel 4 UK in order (apparently) to educate us all. They made lots of money and became rich and famous. (Not to me since I never saw or heard of it). Despite the fame and riches she died alone ill and in penury at a fairly young age for the 21st century. I couldn't help feeling sad and that she had been duped by the falsehoods of our youth. The title to this video is really tone deaf. 'Trivializing Intimacy'? The woman was drugged and raped over a 10-year period by her husband and a large group of strangers. That's torture. It has nothing to do with intimacy or sex, and everything to do with , and it's definitely not trivial. This is not a theological position on this crime that the church itself would take. In another recent video a priest was wrongly accused of exaggerating his exorcism ministry, which I've seen elsewhere is calumny that has now spread across the internet. Maybe it's time to rethink how you pitch things, do a communications course, etc.
