@triplehood10 жыл бұрын
HazE TriviumT trust me ... most of those guys with an 'own sound' are usually just ruining their voices. A good example is James Hetfield from Metallica. People think he had a better voice in the 80's but I've seen a few shows from back then (on youtube) and he's currently a MUCH better singer but if he didn't ruin his voice he would have more 'power' now. So be happy for Matt because this way he's going to be capable of doing what he does for a much longer time.

I saw an interview with Matt from Trivium not too far back, building up to this album releasing, I think. And he said the way the fans are, they're almost impossible to please. He pretty much said no one liked The Crusade when it came out, but when Shogun was out, everyone loved The Crusade and turned their hate towards Shogun. Then came In Waves, and suddenly fans wanted more Shogun. Now Vengeance Falls is out and everyone warming up to In Waves. People don't like change, when change comes it can take time to adapt to it. Maybe if Trivium get another album, this one will get a boost. Personally I enjoy it. A big element of David Draiman in it, is that a bad thing? Is there too much influence? I don't think so, and that's only my opinion.
@23TheHitcher10 жыл бұрын
completely dead on, so much hate towards bands this year with their new albums... just wish people would let them make their music and enjoy it if they like it... bands dont sell out.. and if they think they do what proffesionalism to people think their favourite bands have then, people dont seem to trust the musicians they listern to.. dont know what went wrong with people. Either way thanks for posting that up though intresting to hear what a band thinks about it all.

I started to listen Trivium by the time they released Until the World Goes Cold because of a friend, some time later i enjoyed almost every song they did, at that time i started to search more of their music. When i found this song at the first times i listened to it i didn't enjoyed that much, but when i've gone have through a lot of shit in my personal life, listening this song gave me goosebumps every time i was enjoying it by myself and i've never told this to anyone, after going through all that shit i still enjoy this song even when i can't identify myself with the lyrics because in that moment for me it was a masterpiece and even now, it is one of the best song metal songs i've ever heard because the feelings u put in the song meens more that the hard work u had to put to make it, from the listeners point of view, so even all the blame and shit u guys have to be going to or u have to suffer, just keep going, as this song helped me to learn, eventually ur effort will by paid even when at first u don't think is paid as it should be. (Ik this isn't the original song meaning, but it helped me that way, so as all others songs can do, u just have to enjoy it in a way that it helps u even when that means that u scape from ur daily life). Have a good day from almost 10 years more since this song came out on here.

I saw these guys a couple of years ago touring with Dream Theater. They put on a hell of a show and were able to really connect with the audience. I had never heard of them before that, but was pretty impressed and starting dig into their catalog. In my observation, there are very few bands who are able to do what these guys do and connect to the music and their audience on multiple layers, but these guys do (and so does DT). This album is awesome, and I hope they're around a long while.

I like both Disturbed and Trivium. I don't 100% disagree with the statement that this album sounds like Disturbed either. Yes, Trivium and Disturbed both sound different, but in this album David Draiman was the producer, so it makes sense that his style may have been expressed a little in this album. It's not unreasonable to think some of this album may sound a little like Disturbed for this reason. No need to be so antagonistic. It's just an opinion.

We are the catalyst; engineered hell The depths we've sunken to The violent things we do A cleansing tide would eradicate all of you How did you think when in apathy's drink That doing nothing would spare you from the brink You're equally at fault; now broken by the assault The righteous, the victims, the villainous ones and all I know what you're hiding from I know what you're hiding from The waves keep crashing over They pummel me, over and over I don't think I can ever brave this storm Should we go quietly? Accept that all is lost? Accept that all is lost? I don't think I can ever brave this storm This quest is impossible Brave this storm I'm feeling my insides pull Brave this storm I'm being devoured whole Brave this storm My soul is poured in the world Brave this… [Solo: MKH] The waves keep crashing over They pummel me, over and over I don't think I can ever brave this storm Should we go quietly? the only thing that separates Trivium from Disturbed in this track is the guitar solos...

That must be a bad joke. I have listened to both bands for quite some time now; it seems you have not. Trivium and Disturbed is way to different altogether.

Yes! My first reaction was that something was wrong with my CD player. It sounds hollow and thin to me - kind of "...And Justice For All" like.

Well seems as Trivium's home state Florida has recently been battered by Hurricane Irmageddon, I feel like they may just have Braved The Storm! #thanksobirma
