I recently bought this one on vinyl. It is my intention to own and possess all GOJIRA has to offer on vinyl lp, and I am never disappointed. It's pretty safe to say GOJIRA is my favorite modern metal group. I especially love the early death metal stuff, like the Terra Incognita album. Heavy. Heavy stuff.

Being a lifelong devout Pantera fan....I have to also respectfully say boys....Gojira has gracefully passed them right up. Especially when it comes to technicality. At this point they seem to be a well oiled new standard to strive towards. Their versatility is ridiculous. Give us more!!!

Crazy to think that they went from writing music like this....to the type of shit they been doing since then. Well, since L'Enfant really, but knowing what we know now about the music they make, I'd say L'Enfant is also pretty crap. This album is by far the best thing they ever did. First album is solid Tech Death, second is more of the same, but with a bit more experimenting and Proggy shit, third album is more Proggy and more of a polished production, but this is where they needed to go, it's where they should have been musically. Crushing, techy, sonic blast with dark themes in the lyrics that make you think about life and death. I admit, I still enjoyed L'Enfant and saw them live twice after that record, but man...they really need to get back to this proper shit! Magma and Fortitude just don't hold up to what they could do.
