@@GoneDeathMode tbh, I liked Sin and The Sentence, but I found that Trivium were struggling with making an album that is all killer no filler like Shogun. I loved some songs, others were a bit meh. But this album, god damn, so cohesive, aggressive and just killer, I loved every single song off of it! And every single first impression left me mind blown, no song left me feeling underwhelmed. And in general, i believe they had many ups and downs throughout their history, vengeance falls was completely meh, Crusade was plain unlistenable because of the vocals, SiTS could've been a bit better.

@@ptr_does_music7042 i didnt really enjoy the Vengeance Falls era tbh, album was meh but tons better than Crusade. But the era itself was a let down due to Nick Augusto’s terrible live performance. He was also talking me that the beer that had been brewed for them where we were at had Maiden blasted to it 24/7 during the process. All the guys were great. Hell Cory got on my cell phone and talked with my son in Colorado who is a big fan for a bit. Love everything I have heard from these guys. Will see you this Saturday for more beer and music!!

Technically absolutely but give Travis credit where credit is due! He was miles above the others

@@charlesdick1133 I liked Travis' style a lot. You could instantly recognise that it was him and his playing always complemented the guitars and bass beautifully.

@@charlesdick1133 You see, I actually liked Nick more than Travis. Both were opposite extremes (Travis had too much restraint, Nick had no restraint at all), but I prefer Nick's extreme.

This album is Ascendancy + Shogun for sure. Something a lot of us were waiting for.

Oh, boy! Silence in the snow, Shogun, In waves, and In the court of the dragon are bloody master pieces! How can humanity do such incredible sound tracks? That's totally otherworldly!

It certainly sounds like the true follow up to Shogun in the best of ways. Just a couple of years late right? 😂

A lot of the riffs and stuff have been around that long, The Phalanx I believe was originally gonna be on either The Crusade or Shogun but it got constantly tweaked and never really had a home on any album until now
