Hey, Bussy... I'm confused... Domino's has always been on the "right wing" of things... So, I'm wondering how/why their "national brand" (Ireland or ANYWHERE) is even allowing tweets about RPDR at ALL... Are we CERTAIN this is an ACTUAL account from Domino's? That's my main question. Thanks.
@andrewpearson35162 жыл бұрын
Oh this really annoys me like my biggest pet peeve . People need to understand that a brand's social media account isn't that brand . What's frustrating is you've automatically assumed wrongly this is from the straights. When this social media account manager is a gay guy who's job is just to tweet information out about food promo here in Ireland. Stop assuming everything corporation is straight. Like in one of my job. It was my friend that asked HR if we could put up pride flags in the office and so face painting and they said yes . And of course we had both straight and gay people like yourself saying the same thing about pandering. It makes it so difficult to normalise LGBTQIA , when a company celebrates Christmas or Easter we don't go to check if they're Christians do we ? We certainly don't ask if a corporation is Irish when we st Patrick's Days promotion. The only time we get this push back is pride, black history month and AAPI month. LGBTQIA culture is mainstream and that's not a bad thing because it's allowing people to feel valid and safe to come out. I definitely missed alot of queer experience because it took me to 27 to come out and be out. Because of how society was ten years ago. We need to stop this. Corporations don't represent white straight cis males . They are made up of LGBTQIA people and POC. Some run it, some write it when it comes to entertainment. It's just such a lazy way of looking at the world

I told her we'd recently played a set and that I was proud because I had won a game. In case you don't know, you have to win at least six games to win the set. The way Kerry Colby said what she said was as if she was implying trans girls are superior to all queer people under this umbrella.. it was kind of disappointing to me because she’s been so kind and welcoming to other trans people but because she was not born with “female” anatomy it’s not going to affect her the same way it would affect someone who was born with “female” anatomy.. all respect tho she apologized sincerely, but trans men and trans non binary people need to be celebrated and recognized just as much as trans women on the internet and in society altogether!!!

As a person with birth-giving parts, I found Kerri’s joke tasteless and unfunny. Let’s face it, she only “apologized” because she didn’t want to be canceled LOL If trans rights were being taken away, she wouldn’t be joking about that. The situation didn’t affect her, she doesn’t care and she took it as an opportunity to put other people down to prop herself up. Kerri showed her true colors and she deserved all the backlash she got. I was never a fan of her drag to begin with, so I dodged a bullet there; I’d rather support unproblematic queens.

@CaptainSully932 жыл бұрын
I feel like you just do not like her and are now using this incident to make it seem like she is a terrible person. All she did was make an insensitive joke that crossed the line. She then made an apology (which seemed pretty sincere to me). Believe it or not, some people actually apologize when they realize they have done or said something wrong, not just because they are getting "canceled". It is ok if you do not vibe with her or if her drag is not your preference, but seeing you comment multiple times making it seem like she did something unspeakable is a little weird. Tearing someone down over something small, I am sure your "unproblematic" queens you like so much have said something that did not come off as they intended and hopefully they apologized and learned from it, it seems like Kerri did.

Its literally free advertising along with people not holding the brands (or people) accountable for things they have done. Like Disney putting out happy pride and then giving loads of money to governors, senators, and other politicians to ban the word gay, support bills/laws harming trans people, not showing gay representation in media etc. People don't do research nor do they hold these brands responsible. When newspapers use single line quote marks (' instead of ") it means the person didn't say this on so many words but it was implied to the point it would be weird to not use it. They usually are supposed to try to only use it when someone rambles on or is jumping from one thing to the next but we all know how that goes 🙄. Where as the " is a direct quote (unless you see it end like this- and pick up again.
