The amount of people that didn't realize that Trixie was just stream of consciousness dropping cliches from apology videos in her tweet to Heidi is just wild to me. They clearly don't listen to the pod if they thought that she was serious.

Wait until you see the torrent of comments on the live I Like To Watch…. apparently an army of tweens have jumped in front of trains and peeled their skins off and LiTeRaLLy DiEd because Netflick's tried something new and thematically relevant. People need to go outside. It never occurred to me until reading those comments that people might only ever see TB&TB or only WLTW and are unaware of live shows, audio-only pod audiences, or even Unhhhh.
@kaylinsmith6921 Жыл бұрын
@@carlcrossgrove9009The editing of the video was awful. The concept is fine, but it was not a fun one to watch. It felt very forced, like T&K felt pressured to be funny because an audience was there, rather than just being their silly selves. I didn't leave a comment, because enough people already had, but yeah. I don't necessarily disagree with the sentiment expressed there.
@jezuszlodziej Жыл бұрын
@@kaylinsmith6921tbh yeah i was actually excited to see how it looked like, but the editing was very weird and like it was a very hard watch - like i think it works for the pod when they do it live, but netflix was a flop

Katya is spot on about the Asian "custom" of commenting about weight. It's socially acceptable and "normal" for people to comment on appearance/weight, not that it should be IMO
@ghoulishtoad Жыл бұрын
Yeah I remember I had a friend in 5th-7th grade who moved from Japan. I remember she made comments about my weight a lot and it would make me self conscious as a bigger girl. We were also kids and kids sometimes don't pick up they're hurting another kids feelings, esp when I would just joke back about how she needed to eat a burger or something since she was so skinny.

Is it malicious? Like, the society is "ew, you gained weight, ^fatphobic slur^," or more over the lines of commenting on a new haircut. If the former than yikes, if the latter than I just think it's weird and kinda inappropriate.

I'm going to be a gross double-commenter and say that I would genuinely enjoy a watch-a-long series with Trixie and Katya. Like a week ahead of time they tell us the movie, then they record them watching it like I Like To Watch but no edits, then we put that on while we also watch the movie. I know there's copy write issues and whatnot so it's probably a legal nightmare, but I think a ton of us would love that even though it sounds ridiculously complicated.
