Su-metal does this night after night on stage. It’s seemingly effortless to her. Her versatility and virtuosity is a joy to behold. Check them out live and you’ll hardly believe their excellence. Extraordinary.

I am glad you got to this! I thought you might dig this one. I will say this isn't your "typical" Babymetal song, but mostly because there isn't a "typical" song. They incorporate a lot of different styles into their unique sound, a genre they created called kawaii-metal. I hope you continue to explore them and grow to love them like I do. Thanks!

There certainly isn't any 'typical' Babymetal song. They have a somewhat coherent style and focus. But after that? Anything is in scope. A truly astonishingly musical adventure. Just jump aboard and hold on; it's the best thing that will happen to you. (Well; it's been the best thing to happen to me, at least.)

Good first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole (no rabbits in here).🦊 Don't worry too much if you can't find the lyrics to their songs, someone will always be here to explain what any of their songs are about afterwards - but you can watch the choreo as that will be helping with interpreting most of their songs. Just listen and enjoy the music and the sound of the vocals if you don't know Japanese .... or as lead vocalist Su-metal once said "Don't think. Feel." There really is nothing you will have seen or heard that is quite like BABYMETAL ... and in well over 50 years of listening to all sorts of music, going to concerts, seeing many of the recognised great live bands in their prime, I can honestly say that no other band has provided me with the same degree of entertainment or made me enjoy music and their performances as much as BABYMETAL. They have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last, they have songs in virtually every metal genre but will also mix and blend so many other styles and genres with the metal in this one Su-metal was turning her hand to rapping for the first time - they have dabbled a bit in the past, but not on this scale). Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. They are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and, since the start of April this year, Momometal (backing vocals, harmonies but mainly in charge of dance, leading the audience, getting everybody involved and joining in). The third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues. After Yui left Su and Moa continued as a duo for the next 4 or 5 years through to their 10th anniversary and a bit beyond, supported by 3 dancers (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) taking turns dancing in the third spot. Momoko was the only remaining Avenger from about March 2020 and was finally revealed as the official new third member on 1st April this year. You already have a load of great suggestions for more BABYMETAL reactions - ideally watch their live performances, the official videos are all really good and worth seeing, but live is where they are always at their very best.

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 Unusual song to start this journey but cool you got this suggestion and watching you mind-blowing with this, just wait to see them live like they did recently at The Babyklok Tour in the US rocking with this in all the setlist and cities they have been around. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 25. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 20 and is the new official member since April 1st recently. *YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. Jumping to this song from Metal Galaxy after 2019 is big leap so there's a lot of things to explain here, but just take in mind this is an unusual BM song and you're not gonna find a song alike to another. Also don't mind with the lyrics too much, trust me, even japanese got hard times translating and finding the meaning behind. But i was just saying there's a lot of things to explain when jumping to this era so fast, for example one of the original member, YuiMetal, isn't here anymore after 2018 and after that they got a set of backup dancers when performing live but since none of them were officially BM member when this MV came out in 2020 the only front women were SuMetal and MoaMetal, they're the one you saw here, but then again since this year (April 1st) one of those backup dancers called now MomoMetal is an official and you'll see her participating in the latest official MV. BxMxC (or just BMC, x is just a cool space bar) probably means BabyMetal Cypher but fans like to have fun saying stand for Bring Moa Chicken, because Moa loves fried chicken 🍗 SuMetal is taking a real challenge with this new trap/rap metal song, she needed to find her flow and boi she can spit some bars and killing it on this one with the attitude. She actually rap since their very first song Doki Doki Morning but of course this one is on another level. But the hip hop and rap elements are more clear on songs like "Iine!" or "Onedari Daisakusen" way before this BxMxC song. The MV and album track got an auto-tune effect for artistic reasons but live is when SuMetal voice really shine without those effects and the girls with the badass dancing. My recommendation to understand how and why they reached this level and era is go back to 1st and 2nd album tracks. Songs like: Megitsune, Catch Me If You Can, Ijime Dame Zettai, Road Of Resistance, Karate and many more like SuMetal solos and Black Babymetal songs are a must before reaching Metal Galaxy 3rd album. You can find "Catch Me If You Can" safe to react version at GuilhermeCait. I'm gonna leave in my next comment where to get safe clips to react if YT allows me to do it. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions: - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn-pmneNf81lfKM - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWOWaGV5arV9gq8 - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/moaWaXaPoNV1rKs - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKjWmqGjrbmrmNE - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIPGapeYnM51hqs - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJibhpKgZcyjgqs - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/boildZyCgrONmac - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday). kzbin.info/www/bejne/eITNp2yFjtmKkJI - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5uQhoR_odamf7M If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4TdimyagZtkabM - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5W3YqytjrdoidE - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6Smp4yMg8p3Ztk - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyyfWmsaLKXaMU - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official, this one is easily to find but be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case. - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2mpfKijq81grZo Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo. - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpiTg6yimMxrfJI This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2WTh6CKfbibasU And here's a BM guide (the long one). kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXXRlmOurNOcisk There's a more recent beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until this year unlike the other one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4mYp51nYrialZYsi=icqbG22Ysw0Pc-Ll 🦊🤘

Welcome! This is one of the best LIVE bands that's been around for about 13 years now - no two tracks the same, amazing shows with wonderfully written music, singing, band, choreography, lighting, stages and of course the crowd. You'll find no one cares that it's in Japanese - and they sound WAY WAY better than singing in english. Hilarious it's been picked up as Korean on the subtitles (NO - they are most assuredly not kpop!) More please :) btw.....the LIVE version of this knocks the socks off the video ;)

G'day mate. Surprising first introduction to Babymetal, but certainly not a bad one. I've been a metalhead for over 30 years now, but always loved the guilty pleasure of catchy pop music, because catchy = catchy. So, of course, Babymetal and Dreamcatcher are two of my favorite bands and the YT algorithm had no problem suggesting your channel. I've been listening to Babymetal since their debut and laughing my as off about all the metal elitist gatekeepers™ losing their shit about them not being metal, not being a proper band, etc. but the talent is undeniable. They absolutely shine live and put on one hell of a show. As good as their musicians are though, the one thing that always blows me away the most, is Su-Metal's ability to keep such powerful and stable vocals throughout the concerts in combination with all the dancing she does.

I saw them live for the first time last month. They are incredible live. If you watch some videos when they first started you can see how much they matured and evolved. They were very young but still incredible back then as well. They have been around for at least 10 years, and the oldest is now 26, I believe. It's okay not to know the lyrics. It's still worth listening to.

Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘 Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the original 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes,they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they are currently on another world tour that included many dates here in the USA, and released a new amazing album just a few months ago! They also recently released a song called "Metali" featuring Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine.🤘🦊🤘

Well, you’ve opened a can of worms! BABYMETAL has been around for a bit over twelve years now (they started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (or the “Greek chorus” as I like to call them - officially "scream and dance" and backing vocals) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the band in 2018, and only earlier this year Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. If you have a notion to check out more BABYMETAL, I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. Or, if you’d rather do some live, then I suggest “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!” or “BABYMETAL Death” the Legend 1997 (a 2013 concert) versions. There is a playlist on KZbin ("BABYMETAL Top Twenty") that includes those four songs and the one you just reacted to; I highly recommend you give it a look, it has a mix of MV’s and live performances, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole (not rabbit hole). Regarding lyrics: about 95% of BABYMETAL is sung in Japanese so the KZbin won't do you any good - it appears that it tries to translate what hears into English. Might I suggest that, before doing your reaction video, take a few minutes and Google the English translation of the song you're about to view. Another suggestion, if I may: when you pause, go back about five or tens seconds before restarting, that way you regain the flow of the song. Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (You're in for a wild ride!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘

An interesting first encounter with Babymetal.. I'd dropped off the Babymetal wagon for a bit and hadn't come across this one before your reaction. I see they've embraced their niche to a tee! hehehe. To this song, I think the wonderful thing about the Japanese language is its very even, percussive nature which really lends itself as easily to an explosive delivery as a soothing, weaving melody. Production is obviously an element in sound recording but having a baseline nature which delivers well is also a factor, and Su delivers it well.

Welcome to BABYMETAL🦊 I'm glad you liked the song! The girls have a lot more to show you. Just a quick note, every BM song is different so if you keep checking their songs it will be a crazy journey (in a very, very good way! haha). BxMxC is a song I really love to watch or listen the live performance because all the autotune is gone and it's just Su hitting the notes and it's amazing! Of course you didn't know that beforehand and the official MV is great too but, if you want to check the live version, the Budokan 2021 (you can find the video at "For The Fox God" channel in YT) is a good one and the video have the CC working! For me, the biggest Su-Metal flex is From Dusk Till Dawn - Budokan 2021, the notes she hits at this song it's out of this world...If you have the CC off it's almost like you are hearing voices in your head and you don't understand what is happening. For next songs, my recommendations would be: Metali - Feat. Tom Morello (official MV in BM channel), Headbanger (Legend 1997 show), Pa Pa Ya Feat. F. Hero (official MV in BM channel) or Road of Resistance (live in Japan). If you want something slower: No Rain No Rainbow (LEGEND - S - BAPTISM XX), Brand New Day (Budokan 2021), Metal Kingdom (official MV in BM channel). All the recommendations you can find here in YT, and last but not least, have fun with us and enjoy the journey! 🦊

BxMxC: Babymetal Cypher or Bring Moa Chicken:- BxMxC is rap-metal and uses a custom 9 strings guitar, that is why the tone hits hard. This is Su-Metal first time rapping and she is spitting bars and this is why Su-Metal is versatile and can sing any genre given. This is the upgrade version of "Iine" which have rave and hip-hop influence. BxMxC reference is either Bring x Moa x Chicken or Baby x Metal x Cypher. BABYMETAL "CUSTOM ESP E-II MF-9" GUITAR 🎸:- The ESP E-II MF-9 Babymetal guitar is a collaboration between the band and the Japanese arm of ESP, and boasts a mighty 27.99″ scale with a whopping nine strings attached. Welp - here I was thinking that seven strings were too hard to conquer. With a deluxe bound Black Stain finish and Babymetal’s logo stamped on the back of the headstock, the ESP E-II MF-9 Babymetal model also features an alder body and a three-piece, hard maple thin-U shaped neck, with 24 extra jumbo frets and a pau ferro board with Luminlay dots to spill your chops across. A Hipshot fixed bridge and Gotoh tuners keep everything in tune, while a lone EMG 909 humbucker and volume knob keep you covered in the tone department. BxMxC: SINGLE BY BABYMETAL. •ENGLISH TRANSLATION: BABY x METAL x CYPHER. •RELEASED: October 9, 2020 (Digital), October 20, 2020 (Physical). •GENRE: Kawaii Metal, Rap Metal. •FORMAT: Digital Download LP. •RECORDED: 2019. •LANGUAGE: Japanese. •LABEL: BMD Fox Records. Mark this day as the best day of your musical life bro! Babymetal is awesome AF and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Best to start from the beginning with Doki Doki Morning and Megitsune. Then Catch Me If You Can, Headbanger and Iine before Babymetal Death. I don't really care for their latest album but that's just me. Their best stuff was when they were 14 or 15 yo in my opinion. I'm 56 by the way. ❤❤❤

To save future embarrassment, BabyMetal is not named because the girls were so young (baby) when they started or because it is a new style (baby) of metal. Two common misconceptions often get used by new reactors about BabyMetal's name. The wording in Japanese is Bebi. When this is pronounced in Japanese, it sounds very similar to the word heavy. When both words (Bebi and Heavy) are written in Japanese, the only difference are two word pronunciation marks on the word Bebi. So the the name Baby - Metal is a play on the Japanese word for heavy, so it is HeavyMetal as such. Only Japan could have a concept like BabyMetal!

Finding out that "Babymetal Death" is actually "Babymetal Desu" which literally just means they're coming out and going "BABYMETAL, I am Su Metal, I am Moa Metal, I am Momo Metal, We Are Babymetal" - it was a trip. They said their names and an entire crowd was reading to tear down an entire stadium.

LMAO, dude, your reaction to this song is the same as mine when I heard it. This song was the second major rock face I hit on my way down the Fox Hole. I was pulling out of Taco Bell one night and figured it was time I listen to a new Babymetal song sense I’ve been stuck on Headbanger for like a week and thought about this song sense I saw fans mention it in comments of videos like this. Well needless to say I did. I had my stereo on full blast mind you… End of story; this is my favourite song of theirs with Monochrome my second. I think this song just showcases the pinnacle of ingenuity that Babymetal has at their disposal. Experimental metal merging metal and modern hip hop and pulled off in such a way that it is a perfect hybrid of the two. Both elements of genre formed on such a fine tuned molecular level that they created an entirely new element of music.

Babymetal is a lot of fun and it might be a good time to get into the fox hole. They have a lot of content out there from their 10+ years. It’s hard to find any songs that I would call bad. They’re releasing performances from their dvds of songs that I put as second tier, but they are so much better live. I’m not sure what you want to look at but they are all over the board in genre mash ups. If they released a country metal mashup tomorrow, I would not be shocked, and seeing Su in a cowboy hat would be adorable.

This rabbit hole is deep. Very deep. The Babymetal rabbit hole, or "Fox hole" as you'll soon discover, does not just encompass Babymetal itself, but also encompasses a New Wave Of Female Japanese Metal that's been unleashed on the Western world. Others in your comment section will guide you through your Babymetal journey. I will direct you to other Japanese bands that are a MUST to react to. Check out: Hanabie - We Love Sweets Band-Maid - Domination Nemophila - Oiran Just three bands to start with. We'll see you on the other side.

welcome to the Fox Hole, Babymetal is like no other they started this whole genre of music, the more and deeper you get into them especially their live performances you will see sure there are some imitators but no one close to the same level or do what they do exactly, they are a fusion of pretty much every form of music popular today with a heavy metal backing, throw in the choreo and they stand alone cause metal doesn't have choreo but Babymetal does, and the history as well the Lore behind them is incredible (from 2010 until now)

@Hgoenge81
@Hgoenge81 9 ай бұрын
@@doraemon8975 well it really sounds more like a statement than a personal opinion. Like the reactor did something wrong. "They should only be viewed live" practically equals saying "you shouldn't have reacted to the mv, but a live version instead". I know, I'm probably alone in this opinion, but I find it the best option for everyone to check out the original audio or mv first. That way, if you like the track, it's easy to quickky find a live version that may be even better. And you hear the track as it was originally written. On the other hand, if you always check live version first, and you happen upon a subpar compilation with bad sound that doesn't line up with the video, and consists of widely different shows spanning their whole existence, and make you confused along with not sounding good, you probably don't want to revisit that song in any form. Many if not most of us hear the songs studio version before any proper live version is available anyway. And I'm not really debating him, and I'm clearly in the minority, bc every time someone reacts to an mv or studio version, over half of the comments section are varying degrees of "why didn't you check a live version?", "you haven't heard it live, ergo you haven't even heard the song" and I kid you not, someone actually commented "great reaction, but since it's not live, I can't give a thumbs up " 🤦🏻‍♂️ So I can agree some versions of songs are better in an official live version, and seeing two versions is actually optimal, but I don't see anything wrong with checking out an mv or studio version for the first time. It can effect the reactor, and when I see a new reaction with a headline that says "I made a mistake! Won't happen again!" Just because 25 people commented he shouldn't have bothered with reacting to the mv, and he's now trying to make amends by reacting to the live version, and actually over compensating by almost shitting on the mv, claiming it's like two completely different songs, I get really disappointed.
