I’m fairly convinced Niantic has a hidden mechanic that improves spawns for people that don’t play as often in an effort to get them hooked on the game. In that last example, it’s seemingly well documented that Zöe’s partner gets incredibly “lucky” despite not playing nearly as much as she does (or other people for that matter). I play a significant amount, and even I’ve noticed in the past that if I ever took a break or walked away for some time I tend to get some crazy shiny luck when I come back to the game. I thought it was just anecdotal and perhaps not the norm, but at this point I wouldn’t be surprised (and I know that they would *absolutely* stoop so low as to do something like this) if Niantic just uses a hidden mechanic to get people their dopamine dump and create an addiction factor.

My experience points to children and low level players having the best shiny luck as well as finding and catching the legendary adventure birds. See it over and over in our hood

It is a fact, ppl that play less get more. My son who may only play 4 days in a week always gets more good iv and shiny like clock work. After checking around in the community were not the only ones seeing this. Family or friends that take days off during the week just get more. However, daily players will see less... perhaps to make it take longer to keep us in the game? Many have left over this mechanic feeling very unrewarded.

Also, after testing this for a year... taking a bit of time off here and there. Each time I came back into the game at least 2 shiny the same day I return, EVERY single time. Definitely a mechanic.

The very first spawn, of my very first adventure incense was Galarian Articuno. I had no idea that it was even a rare occurrence, as I just came back to the game about a week ago. 1x golden razz'ed ultra ball great throw, 1 bump, and instant run away. Sad day, but it was cool to see at least.

Azelf spawned for me, totally unexpectedly, sometime last year as I was just randomly walking to a mates house. I thought it was just a Tentacool at first. SOOO glad I decided to check it out properly!

I had shiny machop once it ran away . I've seen galarian articuno twice and one galarian moltres but it was on 3 different days all ran away but the shiny machop was on the same day as the galarian moltres

If one spawns, it stays as one of those shiny loading balls for ages, then pops in. I've lost 2 that way. They don't seem to stick around as long as others either, which again, lost me one.

I got a crazy story. It was spotlight hour for nidoran female. I used the daily incense. A legendary bird spawned, galarian moltres, but the nidoran female were crowding it.... And it despawned. I was so mad, I just didn't wanna click on any pokémon anymore. I reluctantly clicked on a remoraid, which was shiny and I caught it.

its all algo's just like GBl's and keeping people at or around 55%, look at all the streamers they never show win/loss because lose the first 600-700 and fly up through ratings the last half. the game caters to new players and doesn't want to make any one feel bad. just think about it.

No birds have spawned for me yet, but a few days ago I caught an Armaldo from the Incense and a full odds shiny FEMALE Machop which I was very happy about. Machop was instantly named She-Hulk lol Edit: That was my old account, have seen 2 birds on the new one (CAUGHT ONE)

Me and my friends/roommates have gone out in our neighborhood (or a surrounding neighborhood) together every day since daily incense came out and one of them has seen 3 birds (no catch), the other 2 (also no catch), and I have yet to see any G-birds....best I can report is a lone shiny Exeggcute. It's been pretty overwhelmingly disappointing.

I had a Rockruff on the very first Incense I used. Last night, I got a Shiftry. Super rare to see them in the wild. There were quite some others like the flamenco Oricorio, some stage 1 or 2 evolutions here and there

I've encountered Galarian Moltres 3 times in a row (3 days/3 incense). Was lucky enough to get Excellent Curve with Golden Razz on all three, (almost failed on the second one). No success. But hey, there's at least something to shoot for every day. It's at least free, so slowly but surely, I'll get them all!

I caught a shiny alomomola off incense then a shiny lillipup in the wild back to back. Have had 3 of the big birds show up so far but all have ran, even the 47 CP Zappdos with an ultra ball and excellent throw 🙃 Good to know there is hope to catch them one day!

While I was able to finally nab me a Galarian Moltres after almost a year, with a master ball mind you, my true big Incense story is one afternoon I had a Charmander spawn from it. And I kid you not I randomly thought to myself "Wouldn't it be funny if this one was shiny?" I click it, and to my astonishment it actually was. Never would I have seen myself as a Shiny Charizard owner before, but here I am now I guess. Sometimes I can't tell if I'm subtly psychic or just have these crazy coincidences from time to time.

Video Request: Your experience with Biomes? You've traveled a lot and I would love to hear if you have any insight on how to hunt Pokémon based on biomes. Mystic 7 and Brandon Tan both had a video recently about how the emphasis on PvP in PoGo has been a little intense with Comm days, events etc emphasizing PvP relevant Pokemon. Perhaps a way to balance it out would be to have PvE type incentive with a rework of biomes.

never got a shinny, but i got two porigons im going to do the walk up the street and back and see if i can get lucky. i also got a Lampet on my second ever one? and i dont think i was moving that much so score hes one of my favorite ghost types. and pretty rare cause ghosts only come out at night which it was not and it wasn´t a ghost event either.

I didn't realize Bewear was not spawnable - I had two spawn back to back with an incense one day. They both sucked, so I transferred them. It still says 2 captured in my Dex though. I also managed to snag a Shiny Carvanha with a different incense. I've seen the Galar Bird Trio each one time. Failed captures.

My friend had a 3400 Galarian zapdos spawn, the ball spun twice without evening hitting a nice, great, or excellent. If he would have hit the nearly missed great throw, that would have been an insane catch.

I’ve lost 2 birds on 1 incense. It was the 30 minute Christmas one and the second fled with 17 minutes left so I was really hopeful but no more chances after that. So far, 3 seen, 3 gone!

I've encountered all 3 Birds( None Caught) 1 time each. As For Shinies, I got an Alomomola as well and Tauros. Best Spawns normal has been 10+ Chimecho, A Venusaur followed by a Houndoom, A Gardevoir and A Luxray 2 days ago. Had to Skip a few days here and there, but I'm doing okay with it.
