Congrats Nick! I started PoGo at the beginning, and always found your videos really helpful. Sometime around 2018 I quit at level 38 due to the grind and constant FOMO getting to me. However, just in the past month my young kids have gotten me back into playing again now that they have devices of their own to play on. I just hit 39 a few days ago after evolving a ton of pidgeys that I had stacked up in my storage, lol! It's a lot more relaxing now. Not being on the edge of "elite" makes the game much more casual. Changes to the ways gyms work help with that as well. There are always OG memories but, as a player coming back to the game, I like the changes that I'm constantly discovering.

Ahhh what a journey and incredible send off. Wonder if in a year or two they'll raise the cap to 60, but once again introduce new things that give beefy XP, like if purifying pokemon and beating NPC trainers without using a shield will be new XP sources. Or a new gauntlet styled raid battle or 6v6 boss battles that provide big XP later.
