I can confirm that increased spawns at night are specific to certain species and HootHoot does indeed have increased spawns. My evidence does come from a 3rd-party-tracker, so you might not like it due to its source, but it's accurate and has a big sample size. Worldopole allows you to easily look at spawns by time of day and the source I used to compile this list has 3.8million spawns from Berlin logged. Here's the list of Pokemon I found that seem to have increased spawns: - Gastly/Haunter/Gengar - Drowzee/Hypno - Hoothoot/Noctowl - Ledyba (no increase seen for Ledian) - Ariados - Crobat - Quagsire - Murkrow - Misdreavus - Gligar - Sneasel Additionally, some Pokemon seem to have decreased spawn rates during night/increased rates during day: - Sentret/Furret - Spinarak (reversed behaviour of Ariados) - Hoppip/Skiploom/Jumpluff - Sunkern - Teddiursa/Ursaring - Skarmory The increased/decreased rates all occur between 8PM and 10AM local time (so 8 hours longer than the 2PM mentioned in the video/on Gohub) but the effect varies. Hoothoot has ~150 spawns/hour during the day and 550/hour at night (almost 4x increase) while Drowzee has 390 spawns/hour during day and 450/hour at night, so only a minor increase, but you can still see the jump/drop throughout 8PM-10AM.

Lure modules should spawn Pokémon even when you are not in the radius, meaning you could be several hundred feet away and Pokémon will still show up at the lure module pokestop spot for you. Cause who wants to sit in one spot for 30 minutes. The game is about always being on the move. Not camping at one place.

I have a possibly good idea when it comes to Battling w/ friends. In fact,* i think i found a way to merge the normal gym system with a turn base style to it.* So, basics. Each Pokemon has a certain amount of 'Energy' It can be found by dividing its max possible CP by its stamina (HP i do so believe), then subtract 20% if its max energy is above 15 (Check the Silph Road for more details on what Pokemon gets what). Also, it rounds down, even if its .99999. K, y'all with me? Alright. Each battler takes turns, and all energy is replenished after each turn. Like the games, higher speed stats go first. Swapping Pokemon always occur first. So, ALL quick attacks use up 1 energy, thus making confusion > zen headbutt. Also, charge moves use a certain amount of energy, depending on how many times it could be used. AKA lets say hydro pump uses 5 energy, and because Water Pulse can now be used twice, perhaps it uses 2.5 energy, thus adding strategy and make people think if they should just unleash havoc with Hydro Pump, or save energy and use a single Water Pulse. Also, little details like AR mode, and if your not in AR mode, your trainer model is seen throwing out Pokemon, etc. Also in non AR mode, you have unique camera angles like in Sun and Moon. Also, a friends list could be added. Just to see if they are online, at least. Also, if they are, you can invite them to a personal battle. And of course, you can decline. Alright. A cool video idea would be talking about the best combinations of gym Pokémon. For example, Blissy is a great tank for gyms and super common right now. What you be a good Pokémon to put in the gym to support Blissy if there is a Blissy there, what about it there is a Vaporeon, dragonite, tyranitar, etc.). Then maybe talk about what the best grouping of Pokémon to defend a gym based on supporting each other statistically and type wise. Could also incorporate movesets (which I know you love)! We were on our way home from a trip to catch Pokemon, and in one intersection a Sneasel spawned at the corner of the block. I immediately went "oh Oh OH" and woke up my sister who was sleeping in the back. We ended up going around the block to catch it. Was probably the most exciting catch we got that day on top of so many totodiles, chikoritas, and a Quilava. Up to 100+ toto and chik candies.

As for the spawns, I haven't noticed any increase at night time for Murkrow, however Gastly have been appearing during night time more and more, but I also see them at day time, so I just think that with the nest migration, their spawn point have been change to my home. Cool videos. My first time commenting. I work in downtown Detroit 5pm until Midnight. I usually hunt before and after work, but while I'm at work I let my character hover around campus martius (the main downtown park in a round-a-bout type thing). First part of the day I'm catching Slowpoke, Staryu, occasional periodic and seemingly random spawns of Omanyte or Electabuzz. I can't say I notice a total concrete difference for the likes of Swinub, Hoothoot after 8pm, to me they're all like Rattata's and Weedles--Kind of tired of spinning balls at them. But anyway, I've recently noticed Chinchou seem to outspawn Slowpoke or Staryu as the evening proceeds at work. Later in the day I've been getting occasional Cyndaquil. Not often will I see Cyndaquil during the day. Caught a Misdreaveous around 11 pm at a corner which hasn't spawned that for me yet, so that could be a rare night spawn happening. Both Houndooms I caught were after midnight in Detroit. Can't believe I caught those second stage. Still haven't caught enough Houndours to evolve my first, so glad the two Houndooms didn't flee. Also, I caught a (pretty bad iv) Typhlosion at around 12:30 am by the Detroit river last week, so that backs up my typical spottings of Cyndaquil at night. Wow this got long, sorry.

I have observed spawn rate differences between some species of pokemon.. local Kabuto nest is spawning naff all compared to previous nests.. and the Mankey nest visted today was spawning far less then the doduo nest... Gen 2 probably effected the rates.

Henk Jan if u have multiple eggs hatch at the same time, the candies for duplicate Pokemon that hatch get added at the same time. say u hatch 3 eggs, the first one is a paras and each paras hatch gives u 15 candies. Assume u have 0 candies to start with. When u hatch the first one, it'll show u have 45 candies, so u know the rest will be paras.

Caught a Sneasel at about lunchtime near the BBC in Salford UK. Loads of Murkrow around all the time here, and a local park was a Houndour nest before the last migration. A lot of Hoothoot as well. The one thing I've not seen that seems to be common in the the USA is Snubbull.

In my area, murkrow and hoot hoot are extremely common especially during the daytime. I tend to see more of them in the afternoon rather than at night. Also, all 3 of the misdreavus that I have caught have been during the daytime.

In Yonkers,NY, Murkrow and Hoot Hoot are very abundent during the day, and I have caught a few Sneazles here too

I also think the spawns are affected by night time spawns. I have caught a few fire type and water types at night. alsoo at night all i get is sentret, hoothoot, mukrow, and officially as of now in baton rouge chickorita and totodile. also spinarak is plentiful here.

We get many Dark Pokemon during the day in Singapore, and I hardly ever play after 8pm. Lots of Murkrow, a sprinkling of Houndour, and even managed to catch a Sneasel.

In Michigan we see Murkrow constantly, day and night. It's about as common as Ratata used to be around here. Same with Hoothoot; day/night cycle doesn't seem to be a factor. Sneasal does seem to be more of a night spawn, though I've only ever seen and caught one and that was at a Walmart. Ghastly and Haunter also seem to not be determined as much by the day/night cycle as the location around here, with more of them appearing at crossroads and graveyards.

My list of night I see : Hoothoot Zubat Gastly (alot) The bird with the hat - And a few more Sneazels (ice/dark pokemon) Been that way for a long time (of course not with the gen 2 pokemon, but pokemon like Gastly and Zubat) - Also rare spawns seems to come out more often at night time, such as dragonite, gyarados, dratinis, lavitar and so on. Daytime is mainly only nest-hunt otherwise go for night time hours. Also - Pikachu spawn rate IS increased - but not with a lot. yet I see at least 1 in the radius of 500 meter of my apartment every hour. There's no Pikachu nest and they spawn different places around my apartment. I caught a 98 IV party hat yesterday. I suggest harbour and city center will be the most likely places for them to spawn. I've seen like 2-3 cluster spawn of them at a habour yesterday 3-4 times.

On the first days of gen 2 being released every night there was a sneazel at the pokestop near my house. I didn't find it until just recently though. Funny enough i went out to find a wild Houndoom and they were at the same pokestop. These both happened around 8:45 or 9pm.

You are correct , certain species do spawn more frequently at night. I've noticed like 3x more hoothoots after 8pm where I live.

Video idea- I may be wrong about the following so just check first. You know how you get more candy’s when catching evolved Pokémon, you also get more stardust! Then your first catch of the day you will also get more stardust, but when it is a evolved Pokémon you get even more than normal, I think. This issue may not help you a lot but for people like me we are always low on stardust, cannot play so much… Keep up the good work.

I have caught several party Pikachu also. I don't feel the effect of night for specific Pokemon spawn in Malaysia. but I do find that rare Pokemon seems to spawn more frequently after midnight till 7am. We used to hunt Pokemon after midnight and there were lots of rare Pokemon.

Team Rocket at 9:17 I work in a store that's on a main road and I see Murkrow like freaking crazy all hours of the day/night. Hoothoot too. I definitely notice the night spawns at my house, which is in the suburbs, because I see way more Sneasel and Gastly at night.

I see ton of hoothoot during the day. I haven't been out at night and have captured enough to evolve twice. I am amazed at how many different type show up on your walks versus where I am though.

I definitely believe that better Pokemon spawn at night. Both of the wild Feraligatrs that I caught were at night, at 8pm and at 10pm. I have also caught many other exciting Gen 2 Pokemon, almost all of which spawned at night.

Up here in Alberta, Canada I see Hoot-hoot and murkrow very commonly day and night. Houndour is very rare so far...might look at night for more - thanks for the tip. Also suuper common is spinarak and sentret (everywhere day and night)

I've been at little Tokyo before and I can tell you murkrow spawns there a lot. If you go to exposition park it spawns there a lot in the morning-afternoon also

my village is usually full of murkrow during the day so its difficult to say about spawn rate, however I do see more ghastly during the night cycle. sneazle seems to just randomly appear here and there at any time. still not seen a houndour or snubble, but there is a swinub infestation, caught more of those things than the ledyba and sentret combined. a good few sudowoodo too, was surprised how many spawn here.

Where I live (Scotland) we have murkrow all day, they are very common, like pidgeys, I catch about 5 on my way to uni (a ten minute walk) every day and that is it about 1pm

A note on Hoothoot: I think it's just not a common one for you. I'm in Michigan and see them ALL the time. They are almost as common as Pidgeys and I've evolved about 6 of them and caught multiple Nachtowls too. But I see them about the same whether it's day or night.

I hatched smoochum and cleffa, found a good totodile to evolve, found a misdreavus, found a 1770 pinsir, a houndour (rare for me) and a random dratini (very rare for me) all in 2 days.

I thought they had night vs day spawns since launch of gen 2. I say this because I saw a huge decrease in spawns of Chancy and Lickitung (can't remember if it's true for Jigglypuff and Clefairy as well) at night during the Valentine's event. The only one I remember still seeing commonly at night was Exeggcute.

The Wawa down the street from me constantly has cluster spawns of Hoothoots every morning on my way to work. Which is about 7:10am. I find them all over the place at all times of day

i dont know what to say but here in switzerland where i live (at a village) there are far more murkrows than pidgeys. doesnt matter if its day or night, its now the most common pokemon by far.

YEESS they do! Types aside i think better ones spawn in general at night. I got a Mareep & a Crobat in the middle of the night this month & before gen 2 & not during any events I caught Snorlax Venasuar & Exeggutor in my neighborhood at night🌛

Hoothoot and murkrow are really common spawns in my area any time of day, also the park right by my house is a sneezle frequent spawn point I get at least 2 if I drive by b4 work and 2 after.
