I think some of the iconic guitars will easily resale for more than the auction sale price. Mainly the Yardburst. It went for peanuts for what it is. Maybe the strange headstock made it look off? Anyway, played by the three biggest names in rock history. And the Wired Strat? You glossed right over that one dude, as well as the bidders at auction. (head-scratcher)

I was thinking that Jeff Beck would have had at least one fender guitar with a bolt on neck that only had three bolts holding on the neck.
@anthonyc188310 күн бұрын
Right. I've seen pictures of him with a big-headstock, '70s Strat with the bullet truss rod adjuster. That's a sure sign of the three-bolt neck arrangement. One photo I remember very clearly shows Jeff backstage with Joe Perry of Aerosmith. Joe has a blackguard Tele with a very worn-in maple fretboard and Jeff has a white Strat, rosewood fretboard with the big CBS headstock, "TV" logo and bullet truss rod adjuster. Maybe that's the Strat on the Wired LP cover? Bottom line is that he must've eventually got rid of it.
@dukeford8 күн бұрын
With Beck's white Strats from that era it's hard to tell anything. I have pictures of Beck playing white CBS Strats with and without the bullet truss rod. He also had a white Strat with a factory bound neck back in those days, which is pretty uncommon. He also used a CBS Fender neck on the natural-finish Strat from the JBG2 (with the broken pickguard). I've also read that he used CBS-era Strat necks on early '60's white Strat bodies.

Hello everyone from the uncommonly frozen under deep south Louisiana. I agree on Somoa Beige the gold is alright. Reminds me of peanut butter . Copper Irredescent is intriguing. The more i look at it mother more I like it. I do however like the Epiphone version much more because of how dark it is. Nugget Gold isn't quite as dark as my Trad Pro III but would look good without a pickguard. Platinum looks like a very pale olive not a fan. Love the Viceroy Brown. Could you imagine these colors on another models like a Flying V or SG. I'm interested to see the price point on the Epiphone side idmf done. Not crazy about the Trans Black but likely looks better in person. The Rootbeer finish looks awesome with gold hardware but I wonder how it might look with black plastics making the gold stand out more. Maybe brown if they could. Just to throw this into the mix you don't see a Studio LP with P90s often. The LP Studio Netallic Pelham Blue looks more of a sky blue. Interesting but I wonder if it'll change color to more of a green in time. But as is if they could create a cloud burst where the edges are some hue of clouds that would change it up completely. I do like the maple top being exposed. Dark Purple Burst is okay. Becks Pee Wee sounds like a tribute band or a tribute song. The design on the one guitar with what looks like some fancy design on the truss rod cover that design looks sort of like someone started to the fancy flower pot from an actual headstock on it.

Even if those are original 1955 colors they should have been retired in 1956. I thought maybe they took some of the colors used on the 1955 cars as inspiration, but I was wrong, even the colors used by the big 3 American car companies had more pizazz, the only color that comes remotely close is the cropper iridescent.🤔🤔
