I mean all Fender needs to do is invent some new bridges since it's been a half century since the last time they did that, when Leo Fender owned the company. Otherwise, they are more versatile than Gibson. More pick up options and configurations. I mean really, 90 percent of the guitar and it's sound is the pickup configuration.

I like that Fender is open to being adventurous with their guitars - far more then some guitar companies I can think of. This collaboration with Jack White has produced some very cool products. I'm sorry, but Fender saying that powder coat is going to scratch easy is BS unless they are using a really crappy powder coater, powder coat is what we use to restore and refinish bikes in the cycling industry because of how strong it is, the only thing stronger is ceracote which is used in the fire arm industry. So if Fender is claiming that powder coat will scratch easily they are either full of it or using the absolute worst power coater out there.

Jack White has probably spent the good part of a decade figuring that thing out. I've seen quite a few prototypes over the years of him with these weird teles. Then you would see him a year later and he'd be like "it's the same guitar as last time but we added this and changed that and then repainted it. Doesn't matter if you love or hate the way it looks. Innovation is awesome. And the people saying it's hideous. If it were up to those types of people we'd be playing the same sh:t that they had in the 50s. I remember in the 80s people saying that Floyd Rose' and EMG's were hideous. Fuq how it looks. I want the sound. I want the function and playability. It's an instrument. A tool. Not a piece of furniture. Get that bish playing and sounding right. We'll worry about the looks later. Not my style of guitar. But I'd love to try it and see what it's all about. Other than that it’s a really well made instrument Something trogly didn’t show in his video is how you can fine tune your sound with the volume and tone, and use the « straight to jack » from time to time to get that full sound ! Something that surprised people i showed it too ! It’s like a mini pedal to get that « accent » on solo and go back to « muffled » chord progression after And clearly the neck is not something i am used to, i tend to find many neck too beefy (i have little hands i guess) bit not on this one, it’s really ergonomic to my playstyle !

First off. I've been subscribed to your channel for about 3+ years and your chops have gotten really good. Keep it up Trog. It brings a smile to my face. As a retired music teacher, performer, producer I'm impressed with you and your channel. Great blood sweat and tears you've given. For $3500.00 I can pay 3 mortgage payments or buy a Caribbean vacation for my wife and me. No doubt this JW triplecaster will increase in value but who can guess if it's 10 years or 30 years from now. My 1960 pink strat was a pawn shop find when I was 14 yrs old in 1973. No guy wanted it cuz of the color. I paid $275.00 and you can imagine the names I was called. I couldn't afford it today cuz of its 'all original value'. Is the JW triplecaster worth it?. Yes. I never thought my pink 1960 would be worth over $25k. (Probably more like 7 x's more than $275.00 cuz it's rare color) For me the JW triplecaster has too much going on for a 65 yr old. Heck. My peddle board is confusing enough. My grandson would argue 'Not for a budding young 16 yr old'. My advice to a young aspiring JW fan is to buy and not beat it up. Play it but don't abuse it and in 45+ yrs you just might have the value of my pink 1960 strat. Btw. Don't alter it in any way, shape or form. Don't lose the case candy cuz it's big value down the road. Life moves fast. Did I ever think I would be commenting on my life on your channel? Heck no! I grew up when the Internet wasn't even thought of. Gasoline was 25 cents a gallon. I had a home made mini bike with a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine and me and my buddies all drove VW bugs. My advice to the current youngsters. Don't mod your guitars. Keep all the case candy. Practice practice practice and live each day honestly and give back more than you get, like it's your last day on earth. May Jesus bless you as he's done for me, my children and grandchildren. Now keep on rocking that Jack White triplecaster! Kurtiss

Salutations Austin! Interestingly specked Jack White signature Triple Caster. I am surprised that they have a warning label concerning the powder coating, typically powder coated metal parts are very durable and not prone to chipping and flaking off, since the pickup covers are made of metal, that shouldn’t be a concern, and if the tuner knobs are also metal, once again that should not be concerning, however if any plastic parts have been powder coated, which I doubt, that may be an issue, but powder coating involves statically charging the parts, and then it will attract an even layer of the powder, which is then baked onto the part and is very similar to a baked enamel finish, it is resistant to chipping and flaking, unless it was done improperly. It appears that the body of this model is actually based on a Thinline Telecaster body, except that the “f” hole has been omitted. The filth knob is something completely new to me on any guitar, and I have not seen one on any other device either, so this is a big surprise, I hope that it is durable to be dependable for many years, however, I would recommend that a spare one is procured for any new owners of one of these instruments, because I suspect that it would not be easy to find a replacement, in the event that it fails in the future. The lack of walnut in the back of the neck is a very exclusive specification, that and the 12” fretboard radius really sets these apart from other Telecasters. The hip shot tuning option can be very useful for those who like to quickly drop the tuning on the E string, I have an Epiphone Joe Pass Signature Emperor II that has one on it, and I have found it to be very useful. It sounds great and has more sound options than any standard Telecaster. This is definitely the most unconventional Telecaster that Fender has ever produced, that I am aware of. Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨🎸

One thing I noticed which might be completely off topic is that Trogly's guitar has the Bigsby wire bar with the bend dipping towards the bottom of the guitar - but when i saw Jack's it had the bend facing upwards (towards the player face which i thought was somewhat odd). Anyway, it would be great if someone who has played the wang-bar in both orientations could chime in and let us know the difference in how it feels and plays.

You only live once, you'll never regret owning a slightly flashy guitar on your deathbed. And again, this is not a pink flying V either, it's just a black and white tele with 3 pickups

Jack sure came a long way from those Airline and other Sears level guitars. It's not a critique... just an observation. I'm a fan of his playing and he can play whatever he wants. Ok, interweb?

I remember an article where he said he got fed up and said something along the lines of “why am I fighting these guitars? Why am I working so hard?”. Understandable, a lot of those old department store guitars are pretty miserable to play.

@@dlemon90 Very interesting because I remember in an interview he said that he kind of likes fighting his guitars. But I guess he got tired of that.

My first thought on the non-durablility of the hardware was John Bohlinger breaking the Bigsby on Jack White’s guitar on Rig Rundown. 😜

16:00 At the 7:06 Endoscope View you can see that the back appears to be a separate piece of wood glued over the body chamber routes. Cool Guitar

wonder why he chose that switch, Tesi makes a few different Sanwa style arcade switches. definitely a cool guitar, I did something similar to this with an Ibanez RG as far as the wiring and electronics. mine has a fixed Bridge so I do not have any issues with the Hipshot xtender, seems as if they were using that in conjunction with a vibrato system it would act funny but I've never tried it so I'm not exactly sure about that. that is definitely one of the most interesting guitars I've seen aside from EVH's Frankenstein, great video my man. Thank you for showing this.

Well Jack has been obsessed with the number 3 long before that. White Stripes had 3 colors (red white and black) had 3 instruments ((at first 🙄) (piano drums guitar)) table needs 3 legs to stand etc etc. I used to be a huge stripes fan sorry. Jack's work after that on the other hand...

The chambered routing makes me think, Tele Thinline. I might be wrong, but aren't the Thinlines rounted fromt the back and them a veneer covers the back? I like the concept of the electronics, but I'm not sure if I like the looks. I wonder if Fender will make a Squier version? As always, you did a great job on the review. Thanks.

Beautiful Guitar and I know it's only aesthetics but something about the poles on the neck pickup not aligning with the strings bothers me. Maybe it's just bad angles from this view but I can't be too sure.

This is extreme, a parody perhaps that the Tele ( esquire) was the original bare bones guitar! A lot less tech and switches than a Jerry Garcia guitar! This stuff raises the mark of tech and quality for everyone. Steve Morse comes to mind as well, that 7 pick up guitar! Amazing stuff being mass produced today!
