As a former FedEx employee, I can say that shipping any chemicals (hazardous its self or otherwise) of any sort without proper labels not only violates company policy, but also US, and almost every other countries shipping laws. You should defiantly notify FedEx if you haven't already.

I’m an unloader at UPS and if I’m handling a hazmat without knowing I’d be pissed, that’s dangerous for me. People really do ship explosives like fireworks and other cancerous chemicals, so that shit needs to be labeled appropriately that way it can be HANDLED properly and with caution.

My father works for fedex and you’re supposed to sign and confirm that there are no hazardous materials in the package. By failing to do so put package handlers and delivery drivers at risk, and fedex could pursue legal action against the seller. I would inform them, they might have his info on file from the shipping origin point

I fell into a scam when I bought a Super Reverb Amp on Reverb. The Amp arrived, definitely not in mint condition as listed..scratches, rips, broken corner, etc. The tubes had to be put back into it, as they had been packaged separately. Looking at them I noticed they looked strange. They were broken. Looking inside the amp, the tubes had been broken off up inside the sockets, then taken out and packaged. I called the guy who sold it to me. His story went back and forth on how he had never actually seen it but had bought it and taken the sellers word on it being mint. This went completely against what he had told me on reverb about him inspecting it and it's cherry. He has me send it back so I can get my money. I do get refunded. But, so does he for the cost of the amp. He told reverb that I packaged it wrong and it was completely destroyed when he got it. So, somehow it was all my fault now and I was told by reverb that I need to be more careful from now on. I told them to get their business straight and recognize a scammer instead of paying them out.

Yup, just weigh the item you own and fill the same weight in a box so it's equal weight of the product or near enough and ship. More people are filming goods before opening them up due to what has to be the oldest scam in the book. Years back people used to purchase consoles and take the box back with stones in it used to work in a game store and some lad tried that on with me, got to say made me laugh especially when he ran off leaving the box behind free stones! :)

This type of thing appears to be way too common. I assist with a production company. They have a Meyers Sound Galileo 616 speaker management system. It died in a show last wear, shutting off all speakers. I repaired the unit, ran a 2 week burn in to verify operation from cold to over 100F to look for any intermittent. While testing, the production company, not wanting a single point of failure impacting a show again, found the newer version of the 616, the Galileo Callisto 616. Guess what was in the box. Yep, the old Galileo 616, which had the same power supply fault. Not only did we get the new box with the old unit, it was not working. Managed to fix that one too so the company has a working spare unit. I do wonder if the differences between the Galileo 616 and the Galileo Callisto 616 is just the firmware. Wondering if we can upgrade the Galileo to a Galileo Callisto 616. Other than the front panel silk screen, they look like the exact same unit.

It's why i don't sell online. it's just too easy for someone to say i sent them a box of rocks. then it's he said she said. I've sold gear locally on Craigslist, and i prefer to buy locally on craigslist, but i have bought many things used online also via, ebay, reverb, Guitar Center, and even Music go round. so far so good. i think it helps that i'm not a Gibson, fender, marshall kinda guy. those big 'lifestyle' brands seem to attract the most scammers.

One of my fav guitar stories is concerning my son’s Tele Thinline. My ex wife dropped it, yep insane, and damaged the finish. I took it to a guy who advised refinishing and after about a month I got it back. It was way better than I expected and I started looking at the guitars the guy made. Absolutely incredible and based on an LP. It turned out that he made guitars for Carlos Santana! I was like wow, I guess that explains why it looked better after refinishing! The value is diminished due to refinishing, but upped by a famous guitar maker refinishing it. Craftsmen still blow my mind.

You made a comment that the box had some sort of limited edition something in it originally. No, that box X of 3000 just means what it says. That was box X of 3000 boxes which is what the order was for. That is one of the ways to keep track of items made in China. The shipping boxes are printed with the line, Box _____ of 3000 (or whatever the number is). as they are loading up the container trailer for shipping, there is a person counting and numbering the boxes.

I got scammed on DHgate a month ago .I have actually recieved a couple really nice guitars for about 500 but I took a chance on a 200 dollar les pual copy as I wanted to try one an the dealer .same as yours .account jus disappeared an I never recieved it an also same as ya guy it was ...sent...in about 4 minutes smh lol

Dude where do you have your shirts made? Even the heavy duty work shirts Ive made arent more then $11 and thats for small orders of 10 for a work crew. If you get 100 there like $6-$8 depending on the type of shirt you print on. Within the U.S.
