Seeing Dead Meat go from fast as fuck short videos, to really slow and detailed videos, the podcast growing, chelsea and james getting recognition through hardwork , to then participating in music videos, now they have 2 extra shows on their channel with amazingly and equally creative people. The growth is so cool to see, love this new show, Chauncey is such a good host. Congrats to Dead Meat, they created a juggernaut of horror media in the modern era.

I agree but sadly it looks like this show isnt going to make it. Its getting lower view counts than their other projects theyve cancelled. Unless they were expecting this kind of viewership, they wont be able to justify keeping it going, especially if its averaging like 100k-150k views per episode. Not sure why they are so against the Game Theory method of expansion by creating new channels. Seems to be very applicable to this, but James would need to be the face of it all most likely, so that could be why.

I can't believe someone, who wrote a script in a language they're not fluent in, would completely dismiss fluent speakers bringing up concerns about the wording in that script. That's either some insane ego or total apathy.

Troll 2 is such an interesting case of a movie being "lost in translation." Most of the production crew were Italian who didn't speak a lick of English, which lead to so many weird lines being made for the film.

Definitely agree that Troll 2 does not need a sequel. The magic of "so bad, they're good" movies like Troll 2 or Manos is the genuine effort you can feel in that they were really TRYING to make a good movie. When a sequel to a movie like that is made usually the crew is now in on the joke and when you TRY to make a "so bad, it's good" movie you usually just end up making a bad movie. It needs that genuine heart and effort and it's a very fine line to tread.

Troll 2 is definitely one of those special occurrences that only happens every once in a while, a film that wears the “Worst Film Ever Made” title and has somehow gained a loving following just as dedicated as any following of a critical and commercial darling. Even despite all the trials and tribulations that occurred during its messy production, the cast members who have embraced it see it as something that is special to so many people and I’m happy they do. As for me personally, it was the film that showed that entertainment can come from the most unlikely places. Before it I only sought out horror and horror-comedies that were better received by the public at large or the more widely beloved cult classics. Upon seeing it and having a ball watching the hilarity and slight touch of eeriness unfold, I had come to start appreciating other films like it. The ones that throw you into the most bizarre places a cast and crew can take you, and it’s shaped my taste in horror and film as a whole since then. Thank you Chauncey and Dead Meat for covering it on such an insightful little video, and I can’t wait to see what y’all do next. 😊

I started watching this channel from When dead meat released the original kill count videos I’ve seen them all. It started as a cool way to nightlight the mills of the movies that just fly by as your take in the full movie but to see it evolve to this and seeing the back story of the production and making of the movies just brings it to a whole new level. I love the shift and this channel truely made me I don’t just love horror I love cinema.

I was in a zero budget slasher film back in college, which never had any kind of release outside special DVDs made for the cast (I don't say crew, because we in the cast were also the entire crew with how little money there was, running the camera and microphone for any scenes we weren't in). It definitely didn't turn out as bad as this, but some of these issues do bring back memories.

As an avid follower of Dead Meat, I can’t help but get excited every time a new program is announced on the channel. Production Tales from Hell promised to be a fascinating window into the dark intricacies of film production in the horror genre. However, after watching the last two episodes, I have some critical opinions to share. The Good: 1. Impeccable Editing: I can’t deny that the editing in Production Tales from Hell is outstanding. The cuts and visual effects are perfectly synchronized. Each episode feels like a movie in itself. 2. Valuable Theme: Exploring the challenges and stories behind the camera is a brilliant idea. As a horror fan, I deeply appreciate this focus. Learning about the obstacles filmmakers face to bring our nightmares to life is fascinating. The Not-So-Good: 1. The Host: This is where things get tricky. Chauncey K. Robinson, the host, fails to connect with me as previous presenters have. Her style is too restrained and lacks the passion I expect in a horror program. I don’t feel that she shares my love for spooky movies. 2. Lack of Chemistry: The chemistry between the host and the audience is crucial. With The Kill Count, James A. Janisse makes us feel like we’re watching movies with a friend. Robinson doesn’t achieve that connection. Her comments seem distant and sometimes forced. Conclusion: Ultimately, Production Tales from Hell has great potential. I’m always willing to give it a second chance. In the meantime, I’ll continue enjoying the classics like The Kill Count, The Dead Meat Podcast and They Talk. Let the blood and scares continue! 🎬🔪👻

And one more thing you forgot to mention, Actress Christina Reynolds, who played the girl running through the woods, Cindy, was covered in Lemon-Lime Jell-O and was stuck on the floor covered in it for a while. After filming, Reynolds was very cold, and her teeth were pretty much chattering from the cold Jell-O, and probably during the filming of her character's death scene, as well. Fortunately enough, Cindy's death scene was done in one take.

The “OH MY GOOOOOD” clip used to be used on Conan all the time, same with that weird Mac alien clip of a kid in a wheelchair flying off of a cliff. Much love of this episode! It’s becoming my favorite Sunday show.

I'll never forget the Nilbog thing. I was in my 20s, watching it and when the kid found out i was actually shocked.
