i went to shanghai in 2009 but didnt know about the trolley buses. the power line network does not seem to be convenient because the height of the power lines does not seem to be 3 to 3.5m and the power lines interfere with other traffic vehicles such as tall trucks, crane trucks and trucks with a bulldozer on top.

I'm not a big fan of Chinese transit vehicles but these trolleybuses are very nice .

Now I don't like such wide ugly roads, but the elimination of diesel buses, and with most cars being electric too, it's so much quieter than any road of such size I've seen in Austalia. That's a really nice thing. I work somewhere with a lot of steep hills, and the amount of noise created by buses' diesel engines is just horrific tbh. I really like trolleybuses.
