Sam you can get the flat terminal connectors at any refrigeration supply store. RE, Michaels, refrigeration supply, connectors used on the AC compressors

Sam do you know anyone with a soldering gun? I would solder the connector to the wire and when you connect it back get some Permatex gasket maker silicone and cover the connector with it. I use a toothpick and that will keep the moisture out
