Trolling offshore in Steinhatchee then getting DESTROYED by the STRONGEST FISH

We went fishing offshore in Steinhatchee out of the Sea Hunt Gamefish 25 in search of some late season Gag Grouper. We plucked a few grouper off while trolling in Steinhatchee, one of which was a keeper! We then decided to head a little more offshore, and started bottom fishing with live shrimp. I had my inshore setup and kept getting DESTROYED by what I thought was Grouper, but it ended up being Amberjacks. We had a little fun with the AJ's before we ended the day and getting back home.

I have heard that quite a bit....I heard they are a pain to clean though? If you had to compare, what would you say they taste like?

To me it's not a strong flavored fish from what I remember. I only fish near shore now.

@@NickeeGee the meat is white, flakey and taste similar to snapper. They are a bit harder to clean then small snapper but not near as hard as sheepshead. Lol
