FDR was a prick. He put Japanese Americans into concentration camps in America during WW2. In 1933 when reports of Nazi violence against Jews was reaching America, he refused to condemn Nazi attacks on Jews and instead invited Hjalmar Schacht into the White house instead, trying to pursue friendly relations with Germany and to top it all of he never once ordered the bombing of any of the concentration camps like Auschwitz that were killing people. Refused Jewish refugees entry into America as well and didn't meet Jessie Owens.

Back when Gmod servers were still popular, I actually played in the 1942 servers, and managed to get elected as Hitler, so my first decree as Hitler is that everyone, including myself talk in a gay stereotypical german accent, and everyone refereed to each other as Hans. It ended as you expected, confusion, rebellions, and Countless of Hans died in the war.

Military RP is soo much better, I remember back in the days a friend hosted a Soviet/German 1943 Military RP server, the map was in a Russian city and the roleplay focused on the Military so no time for edgy bullshit even when playing the Germans, it was actually fun. You know, if someone is playing a nazi in a WW2 setting, then there's nothing wrong with that because there needs to be people on both sides. If someone is going to a server which is exclusive the Nazis because they want to role-playing as one and take it very seriously, then that's an entirely different ball game.

People do live reenactments of WW2 in Europe all the time, though. Surprisingly, some people find it fun to dress up and pretend to be Nazis. Difference between them and actual Nazis however is that they are usually aware that racism is not a good thing, and don't let that leak into their "out of character" life.

Exactly, the old cod games had the nazi symbol on zombies and you even played as nazis on multiplayer.
