Systems like this are an absolute game changer. Controllers like this have been used in greenhouses for a while, I adapted a greenhouse system to control a grow tent/room and the results have been amazing, well over 1.2 grams per kwh, up from 0,9 average. I've been making contollers for the past few years for my projects like small greenhouses and growtents that stabilize the climate according to VPD. This way humidifiers, ventilation and even heaters work much more efficiently. I find these systems really shine in greenhouse situations though because the climate is inherently more unstable so there's much more gains to be made. Lately I see alot more indoor grows use an oversized industrial air handler, even in shipping containers and these things are capable of keeping temp and humidity rock solid no matter what. Appearantly also very efficient so long as you have adequate insulation.

I want to understand the flow control valve and breaking the garden into zones. I like to know if it’s like an automatic shut off valve. Would I still put the pumps on timers?

The trolmaster par meter is worthless. It only measures up to 680nm but every led now goes to like 750. It can't even see much of the light my fixtures are putting out.

All of the trolmaster stuff featured here has to be over $2,000. Maybe affordable to some but not most....especially if your a homegrower. Also, no human error is possible with this stuff.....come on! Don't sell it like that. A human still has to know how to set it up and run it and know when something is going wrong. With any sort of automation, there is always a chance that things don't function properly....it could be a plugged up filter, a kinked hose, a leaky valve or plenty of other things. A grower has to always be monitoring his/her garden.

That Hydro X Pro controller is three grand by itself. I guess "affordable" all depends on one's perspective. People who invest several thousands in environmental controllers alone are definitely not just growing garden-variety vegetables, but highly valued medicinal plants. It's definitely a hefty investment, but if you've got your entire grow and VPD dialed in with these kind of systems you're gonna find that it pays for itself extremely quickly.

Big missed opportunity by building this little grow with the most expensive gear out. Its not realistic for 90% of growers. Some of it yeah but most of it unnecessary. Especially if your dedicated and willing to put the time in. He could have offered budget alternatives to the stuff hes using. That gear dont make you a better grower.
