As a former percussionist, I don't have much beef towards flute players, although me and trombone players never exactly got along. Actually, in my experience trombone players were always the most troublesome... next to the percussionists, who the music teachers pretty much blamed for everything all the time. And as someone who loved marching band, it's really not for everyone, lol. Take it easy.

To answer the question in case anyone was curious, the trombone has 7 positions on the slide with 1st position being slide all the way in and 7th being the furthest. The first thing you learn with the trombone is the correct placement of the slide for each position.

I was a tromboner in high school and my gf played flute. Can confirm, she was bitter and I was flying in the SKYZE 😀 And all the loading screen facts are true. :edit: w/o any valves, some of exact positioning of the trombone slide is feel/tune/ear, but there's 7 "positions" which roughly correspond to note changes. So in that sense, this game is fairly close to playing the real thing.
