if you listen to professional orchestras/bands play it, even they don’t take it this fast. it sounds kinda rushed, and the band has slowed down slightly by the end. i think it’s better to take it the “normal” tempo and keep the tempo constant than play really fast and then slow down.
@footßall2 жыл бұрын
This makes me realize how horrible my trombones are in my band class, there’s one trombone player in my band class who is literally brain dead and half the time doesn’t even know what song we are playing and the rest of them are playing random notes and not paying attention to anything my band director does.

Good job. It is nice to hear a performance with the microphone near the most important instruments. Of course, bands need woodwind players, especially to fill in during the spots where the brass players need to rest. We played this piece around 1963 in my church-sponsored concert band when I was in high school, and where I played baritone horn and trombone. Now I will play it again with my community orchestra, this time with me playing French horn, on December 12, 2021, in Takoma Park, Maryland. It is still an enjoyable piece.
