Tron 5.5 Orion Build and Flight by HAQ Attack!

Im planning on building mine sometime in the next few weeks. Going to go 8s setup. Egodrift BETA Tengu 4030HT / 800kV Motor (6x38) @17t pinion. 1800/2100/2400 Headspeed. MKS HBL880 Tail , TORQ BLS1809M Mini HV Brushless cyclic, HW 150 ESC, Nexus FC, RP3-H ELRS, XGuard Plus C50 backup.

**Update** Manual was finalized/updated during this build. I made mention of the Main Rotor RPM range I was trying to achieve. And that RPM has now been adjusted a bit. It is now slightly less than what was originally recommended on the upper range. After updated info I ended up using 2200/2400/2600 but that’s all preference and what you feel most comfortable with. Cool I am looking at this heli when I step up out of the 400 class. How would you compare it to the competition in this 500-600 class?

Well for starters it is a well built and robust heli! I’d even say it’s the perfect heli when stepping up from a 400 size. And when compared to the competition in this size range… I feel it’s the best flying and feeling tail at all rpm ranges that I’ve flown. Also the rotor head has diversity with both dampening and geometry(from beginner to advanced) out the box and that’s a huge plus. But on a personal note… it is probably the only 550 size heli with the most beautiful aesthetics and lines. All that combined… it becomes difficult to not have one in your fleet. 🙌🏻

Why is no one talking about the high pitch sound . You can hear it screaming through the video . Talk about a headache. Am I hearing things ?

That's unfortunate that you can't enjoy the video. I've tried to replicate the mentioned scenario but i'm getting a clear sound from all devices i've used to confirm that it was ok. Maybe its a device specific scenario...? I'd try watching on another device to confirm.

@@hermanquinones I’m talking about the high pitch noise coming from the gears on the heli. It’s very annoying. I love way Tron looks and flys but I’ve also heard they’re very noisy. I’m not 100% on the sound but I hear a pretty loud wine from the gears , in this video . Only one Orion 5.5 video I’ve watched I didn’t hear the noise . Can anyone confirm or deny this ?
