I was on a computer training scheme when Tron came out and I loved the way it referenced technical terms and processes. It was so much of it's time and also ahead of it's time. Way before CGI was able to do the job they put together this incredible movie with innovative effects and simple animations that looked right. Tron became an arcade game, a franchise, a cartoon, a computer game a CGI animated show and an inspiration. I've always been into special effects and it is incredible that this delicate costume has survived in viable condition. Absolutely an historical film. It was able to make a lasting impact despite being released in the original Star Wars era. That's saying something.
