Tron Legacy Ride (Planet Coaster)

This is my new dark ride that follows the story of Tron Legacy. Queue up in Flynn's arcade and transport to the grid! Thrill to all the key scenes from the movie including the recognizer attack, light cycle battle, Flynn's base, the club, Clu's Carrier (yes the entire carrier is here), the aerial battles, and the final escape.

I admire your stamina and creativity. Congrats! Tron was a "special" movie way back in the eighties, and the Tron Legacy added some nice elements. Your coaster experience is so enticing that I'd love to ride it in real life. Thank you for sharing your work with us!

Thanks - The recognizer was the very first asset I created for the ride. That turned out so well that I was motivated to keep making more. I created the sets last - most were not that hard (I got a lot of experience from my prior Black Hole ride) other than the carrier which was massive and just about broke me. :(

Your end scene's were awesome! I love the "SPACE" part where everything was black and you see the outlines of everything . I appreciate the time you put into this which I know was A TON! Thanks - I really liked your Tron ride as well - I liked the feeling you got in your light cycle portion - It really captured the feeling of the movie. I went for a slower approach on mine - more around telling the story.

I liked the idea but it just needs to figure out if it wants to be a dark ride or a thrill ride. Because physically, it just feels like whiplash going back and forth from speedy to showy-slow; both parts look way too even that it's hard to tell what mood this game wants to go for between an adrenaline rush or an exhibit presentstion

No virtual reality - Its kind of a slow coaster in the dark. I can't directly think of a real ride that is similar.

I thought about that but the curves on the roof are pretty tricky and the ride itself (although cool in the youtube vidoes) would be fairly short and boring as a PlanetCoaster ride.

I actually tried filming it in test mode with no screaming and it seamed more exciting with the screaming. I admit that the screaming can seem a bit cheesy but it adds an extra element of excitement.
