This has to be one of the most Detailed Movie rides I've seen. A quick but concise telling of the movie. GREAT JOB.
@BradHamiltonVideo4 жыл бұрын
Thanks - This one seemingly took forever to build and I almost had to abandon it because the performance dropped to about 12fps (and this is on a high end machine) when I started building the Bradbury building & interior. I had to go rip out details earlier in the ride.

Thanks - I decided to use a very high level of dialog in this one to really sell the story. I think it gives it a lot more emotional appeal compared to just music.

Hey Brad. What's different about this version of the ride to that of your previous video journey? Did you add more to your masterpiece? I'm going to assume yes. The only thing that didn't look right to me was the overly large explosion for the gunshot at the beginning when Leon shoots the interviewer.
@BradHamiltonVideo5 жыл бұрын
Thanks - yes - the gun shots as explosions were a bit over the top. If you make them more realistic, they can be hard to stand out on a ride, so I tend to overdo them a bit. Compared to the first ride, while the scene progression is roughly the same, every single asset (other than the police spinner) was re-created 100% from scratch (as well as all the lighting). I had a similar view of my original (that it was quite good and just needed some tweaking) but when I looked back at it, everything was crap by my standards today. The layouts of all the key scenes are wrong. The vehicles are all grossly oversized, and none of the buildings look anything like the movie (other than Tyrell that is a rough analog, but still wildly divergent from correct). The lighting is also highly unrealistic. If you check out the old video at the following link, you will see that it the reality falls well short of memory.kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2HdhJmZd8-apaM

@@BradHamiltonVideo Wow, you really outdid yourself on redoing everything then. Glad to see that you're one of the few creators that goes back to make their creations even better. Thanks for the info. and love the ride. BTW, that huge screen you made for the Geisha girl video is amazing.

Thank you for sharing this piece of art. Do you have any mods doing this? How long did you work on this project?
@BradHamiltonVideo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. There are no mods per say. I used custom assets that people created (not me) in something called ThemeMaker's workshop. If you load the level, it automatically downloads these, but you really don't even need them. They just add extra detail. The critical part is the custom textures and videos. The textures in particular are critical to all the buildings as they are generally just boxes (at least the ones in the background) with a few repeating skyscraper textures (night scenes) I got off the internet. This project took forever - about 8 months elapsed. I'm not sure how many hours.

Merci bien. L'ecran est 32 metres. On ne peut pas changer la taille de l'ecran mais il existe differents ecrans de differentes tailles (4m, 8m, 16m, 32m). Je suis desole pour mon mauvais francais - Je suis Americaine :)

@BradHamiltonVideo4 жыл бұрын
@@arobaz2809 Yes it is 32M - It looks bigger due the camera angle. You can download the park and play with it yourself here. Just click subscribe, let it download, and then start the game. Go into "my parks" and then I think you have to select something like "downloaded" - Note that you need a pretty high end PC to run this. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1802400951&result=1

How did you get it to where the tracks are invisible?
@BradHamiltonVideo2 жыл бұрын
There is an option to ignore collisions. Once you do that, you can construct buildings/scenery on top of the tracks so it looks like a trackless ride. The concept is that the ride is switching from trackless mode to a track, back and forth. I've never seen that in real life (it would require the ability to quickly clip on and off tracks), but we can dream of it using Planet Coaster.

Why is Leon George Washington?
@BradHamiltonVideo4 жыл бұрын
LOL - Valid observation. Planet coaster has only a limited number of character models available and each one only has limited animations. My choices for Leon was the businessman, which I already used for Deckard (and would have been most realistic) or a variety of other models that are pirates, or sci-fi guys or fairy tale guys. I chose this pirate because he has a good gun animation and he at least looks remotely realistic. But yeah - he looks nothing like Leon and a lot like George Washington.
