In my humble opinion, this movie was as close to perfect as you could get. Special effects were amazing. Soundtrack was mind blowing. Acting was excellent along with the cast. I know others will disagree, but that's my opinion. Have a safe and healthy weekend all.

I agree on the points you've mentioned, but the story kind of let me down, and my adult son as well. We were expecting more 'User Magic' than just slowing down a single elevator. They really could have opened up the lore/world buildering more if they let Jeff Bridges be THE User.
@HannahALange2 ай бұрын
But... he is the original User. That's how he got stuck in the Grid. And why his son went looking for him. Splitting him into Clu as the bad side of the Ggood user was brilliant. Binary code - on/off, 1/0, good/evil.

As a fan on Tron..this movie was super good. The father/son aspect was well done. I love that at the end a father who strives for the perfect world..realizes it was already there in front of him...the miracle that is his son.
@GaaraSama19832 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on the father/son aspect being well done but I don't think that he thought so his son being the miracle, at least not only that. More like everything about life, the grid, Sam, Qourra and the ISOs. I think it all boils down to one of my favorite qoutes told by Flynn to Clu: "The thing about perfection is that it's unknowable. It's impossible, but it's also right in front of us all the time. You wouldn't know that because I didn't when I created you."

@@shawnkroll3950 this is like the plot of my life ^^, i'm fighting with my dad (and my subconscious ^^") to make him understand that while not being like evevryone else and mainly not the best one at anything in this world, i can be proud of myself and find my place in this world. when looking at how bad things went since now, this will probably be my "quest" till i die, but since i watched this movie here in france when i was 6/7 yo (now i'm about 19) i often think about this film, and recently came to the conclusion that i will never get a perfect life, i will always have to fight for something and this is what life's meant to be. this is what makes me the guy i am today and the challenges i will have to pass will make me more mature. i shall look forward and challenge life has it is meant to be, and get up on my feet again and again after each failures, alone or helped by the people i hold dear (that i still am looking for in some way)... i'm still not sure about lots of things about my own life because i'm only starting to get into the real deal, but the only thing i'm sure of is that everyone who like this film, whatever film in fact(since a lot of people are taking pleasure into trying to make people feel bad about that), should be proud of that : you guys are being yourself and you should never let someone make you feel bad for it. instead, be proud of who you are, who you were, and what you will be and don't hesitate to show love to what you hold dear including things you like : it's like the flag of your country, hold it strong, show the love you have for it, and fight as hard as you can when someone try to put it down... ho and one last thing, be cool with the people you come across in your life when you don't know them. chances are they are in a hard part of their life, so don't hesitate to talk to people that are feeling down : each of those guys are people that could like some help, and maybe you will end up both fighting side by side for what you think is good... Tron Legacy in Imax was just stunning. The sense of vast space in some sequences was just gigantic. My favorite Imax film, even over Avatar. When Disney goes Avante Garde, with a touch of aggression, they simply rule. I don't need another Tron film, but a re-release in Imax would be superb. Of course, Disney would have to drop a dime to advertise it. What we're missing now, is opening up a Datebook section in a newspaper and seeing a two page spread for a film, like we did when Close Encounters first appeared. Exciting, and fulfilling times.

TRON Legacy is A Masterpiece. Those who didnt like it either didnt try to understand it or couldnt understand it. Happened to Blade Runner in 1982. A movie ahead of his time.

agreed....think Terry' Gilliam's movie Brazil shares the same thing in common

Two movies that i think deserve a lot more praise from the critics: Tron Legacy and Speed Racer. I love both movies: their visuals and soundtracks are outstanding!

As someone that programmed in the 80's, there is no way 8 bit processors of the time could render any of this or compute anything closely like this, having said that, love Tron, love the remake...long live the users !!!

Yeah well we'd need a heck lot more than just 8 bit for a grid like that

To capture the pure essence of the 70-80's video gaming history and visualize it in music and lights is astounding. This movie has everything it was like to be inside the video game arcade when I was a kid. It had the ability to bring all the emotions of the good guy which was resurrected inside the game long stood in a dead arena which no one knew because it was forgotten in dust. And the ending left you with the same aspects. Wishing you could go back inside. Because the real world had left us behind. Tron was my favorite game of all times. He fights for us.

Daft Punk's "The Grid" sends waves of chills down my like a static jolt of electricity. I have always loved the idea of submerging myself into the depths of a machine, symbiotically fusing myself with something inhumanly cold and calculating; becoming the "perfect" human specimen
