Awesome video! It’s so refreshing to see someone in the FPV community sharing their process instead of gatekeeping like a lot of others do. Super cool that you’re giving people the knowledge and tools to get into this in their own areas. Keep doing what you’re doing-it’s inspiring and super helpful!

Yeah, you do a great job free flying the elevation part. My opinion is that the elevation control is a major element between an OK video and a spectacular video. This is where the Avata I think is going to have an edge. I believe it uses downward facing IR sensors, as well as downward vision with Optical Flow, to precisely control elevation indoors. If you watch real estate videos made using the Avata, I think you will notice the insane, locked on elevation flow right off. Anyway, good stuff man. I really like the little birdseye PnP of the trajectory. Very nice touch.

@@Beerbatter1962 Hey there, I noticed in this video that the operator is using a GoPro mounted on top of the drone. Would you or anyone else here recommend that set up over the onboard/stock Avata camera? What about with the DJI O3 Air Unit add-on?
@Beerbatter196210 ай бұрын
@@wTwigAlthough the Avata camera is a good improvement, I still don't think you get the best solution for cinematography compared to a dedicated footage camera. You won't get the best frame rate, and other useful features trying to combine your flying camera with your footage camera. In general, go with whatever camera provides what you need considering the resolution, frame rate, real-time exposure control, stabilization, and weight.
@wTwig10 ай бұрын
@@Beerbatter1962 Thank you very much for this feedback. I will mostly be focused on real estate tours, property footage, and the occasional unique fly-through videos of businesses in my area wanting some unique marketing. In my head a Go-Pro is overkill for this, but I also know they have incredible product support and are the upper echelon of recording devices for these exact scenarios (action/moving footage). Do you think it is worth it to just grab a GoPro alongside my Avata purchase? I am trying to be sure I don't invest in a product that won't provide the immediate level of performance I need. I can't seem to clearly grasp how well the Avata performs standalone compared to with an onboard camera.

So what do you do if your signal decreases and for a second and quality decreases and then it comes back good again? I’m a beginner and the problem I keep having with longer videos is I’ll lose a little signal for a second and the video will have 1 blurred spot and then continue clear again and I have to keep redoing the entire video until it stays clear. Thank you so much!!!!!! This video is what I need to get started with real estate! Someone also told me to reach out to homeowners that are selling their houses and ask them if they like house tour video for free. I'll only do it for 3-5 houses that I can put in my portfolio. Then I'll start working on my FAA-107. Thanks a lot again!
@meechcreativellc2 жыл бұрын
That's not how that works. You need the 107 first. If the video you shoot is being used "in furtherance of a business" which the sale of a property is just that, same as handing off to a real estate agent or person self selling, it's commercial and you need the 107.
@neilfpv2 жыл бұрын
@@meechcreativellc but I won't be selling any service yet. It will only be part of my portfolio so I can start populating it. Do I need the 107 for that?
@meechcreativellc2 жыл бұрын
@@neilfpv So, here’s where it gets weird…so stick with me. As I have known and understood the rules, you can’t fly / shoot as a recreational pilot and then say, two years later use that footage in a commercial manner. Meaning that the flight in which you captured the footage, had to be under Part 107. Now, I am one who respects rules and regs, and the spirit of them. But, if your intent is to build a portfolio, which ultimately will be used in “the furtherance of a business” then yes, technically you should only use this time to shoot for yourself, for practice, etc. Then, get that legit first client and use that imagery for promotion and build from there. Now, that’s how I would do it if I were once again a newbie. That being said, the likelihood of there being repercussions from the use of a few pics starting out is slim. Now, IF there was an accident, on the shoot, and you’re not Part 107, insured, etc. with a cleared flight plan…then that’s where it gets bad. Hope that helped!
@neilfpv2 жыл бұрын
@@meechcreativellc thank you for sharing your experiences. It's an eye opener for me and to other pilots as well. I've started studying 107 few months ago but I stopped. I'll continue studying it again and get licensed. Thanks a lot!

@@neilfpv It's ultimately worth getting it. Even if you don't end up flying for money, in the long run it will be the official document that shows you know and understand what you're doing. really cool and thanks for sharing, may I ask if that is only possible with an FPV drone or can you do the same with a regular drone like an dji mavic mini/pro without the goggles? and how long did it take for you to be able to fly such a long sequence without error or interruption?
@TRONCATFPV2 жыл бұрын
It has taken me a couple years of practice to get where I am today with this slow, consistent and steady indoor flying. There really is alot that goes into it. I don't think this would be possible with a mavic mini or something similar. When you're flying in a multi-million dollar mansion, your'e going to want a small drone and one with propeller guards or ducts.
