When I was a kid I was given a GBA and it was my absolute pride and joy. I was so so so careful with it as I knew I wouldn’t get another one if I broke it. Even to this day, I am so incredibly careful with my consoles. It’s crazy to me that someone would allow theirs to get in such poor condition.

Believe me, I've worked in the repair field for a long time. Most people just like companies don't care about the equipment until it doesn't work. Then after all of the damage they want it back "Perfect". I've seen Telecomm equipment half full of dust and cockroaches. (I hate cockroaches)

Did my first iFix It repair this weekend. It was a great experience! Swapped my 2015 Macbook Pro 15 in battery. Before the repair the battery lasted 5-10 mins off the charger. After, it played a 2.5 hr movie in 1080p 2 and a half times.

I once bought an ottoman from a store brand new. Took it home and set it up next to my tv stand. While I was watching a movie I saw a huge roach pop out of it and fall to the floor. I wrapped the ottoman in a trash bag and put it at the curb. I spent 5 hours looking for the roach because it crawled away quickly. Finally found it and killed it. Luckily I did not get a roach infestation…but the moral of the story, is you don’t have to live in filth for that to happen. I keep my place clean and tidy, so I was mortified when I saw that damn roach 😂

God I dealt with a cockroach infestation in my house for over a year as a result of accepting an appliance from a family friend, and see this brings the PTSD out. There was so many. They were everywhere. It took so much effort to get them out of the house, but it sure feels good to be done with them.

A bit of advice, when you get any type of electronics that might have possible infestation put them in plastic trash bag and then put them in the freezer for a hour or two that will kill off any roaches or bed bugs or any bugs.

Reminded me of the time when I worked for Lowes and someone bought a new stove. Their old Stove was infested with Roaches and we didn't know until it got back to the store for recycling. Damn, this video brings back memory of me having to tear apart the Steamdeck to clean. It had hundreds if not thousands of ants inside crawling in and out of the vents, the joystick and once the console heats up you could see dead roasted ants being ejected out the vents 😢 Had a fun time cleaning it up though with adrenaline rushing. I didn't want to break anything 😂😂😂

Since at least around 2000 when I used Scart I have always used things like switches for av items and a usb hub or even just a male to female adapter rather than put something in direct that way if I damage something its just a case of replacing the single item rather than having a ruined device/tv/monitor. I used to think I was being a little crazy doing so but in recent years people have told me either they do the same thing or its a smart idea.

If you think there might be insects in inside, make sure it’s well wrapped like as air tight as you can get it with cling film and put it in a freezer for a few days, it will kill them. Better that than them scattering all over your work bench.

It's so strange to have bugs in a console.... This summer, after years of issue and errors message, I decide to full disassembly my mother's vorwerk Bimby (around 13 years of sitting in kitchen). When I start to disassemble, I smell the worst mell. It was really really FULL of bugs EVERYWHERE. I start to remove all park, clean with vacuum and then spray in each board the circuit cleaning solution. And then back everything together. I discovered that everything star to work as the first day. So no issue, no errors nothing. I can't imagine that bugs can be so districting for circuit. Do it yourself, is more funny, and cheap

You need a chamber that you can expose the unit to an Ozone generator. a Ozone generator converts oxygen (o2) to Ozone (o3) and it will kill any bugs that may be left alive. It will also kill the smell too.

I resurected a Xbox 360 from a flea market that had roach infestation. The trouble is they crap across the circuit traces and short out the board(s)! You have to put the console in a plastic bag with paper towels soaked with alcohol. The fumes will kill them. The tiny board that was for the controller was toast from the bugs. I replaced it and all was fine. The console me $9 on my original purchase. They CAN be saved sometimes.

I'll never forget my roach story I used to recover cable boxes for a cable co. and recovered one from inner city apt tower saw that they were in my car later i put the box on my back bumper with the cord inside my hatch back. when I got home put it in my garage, they came through the walls and plug outlets infested my house. I put a roach bomb on my kitchen floor came back the next day millions on floor dead. never saw a live one since. Nasty

Watching the video right now, the "sticky liquid" is going to be some type of soda. I found the same thing in my PS4 that I bought at a pawn shop. Keep up the great work. Let us know when you have a PS5 giveaway so I can try my chances.

Curious question… if you have a ps5 put away since launch say 3years would you need to replace the Liquid Metal? Or does it only dry out with heat over time..

It doesn't really dry out per se but it does oxidize on the APU and that oxidation may need to be cleaned off and the liquid metal respread. If it's working fine though then no reason to do it.

So I have bought my first PS five to try to bring back to life. Somebody must’ve spilled something in it that was white. Thankfully, the consul does turn on, but I couldn’t get it to read a disk. I took the drive apart, and cleaned the rollers with IPA like I’ve seen in past videos, and when I put it back together… It wouldn’t take the disc anymore. Did I do something wrong? Should I just buy new rollers or try to clean them again?

This is the reason why you got to keep your room clean and make sure there's enough room for the PS5 to breathe so the roaches don't try get in

I just got an Xbox and ps4 and both with dead bed bugs . But found one alive! Never thought this would happen to me . Also noticeable smell ! Now I know
