Just FYI. Given the date of this video pretty sure you have this sorted. Found this T/S method for Blue Screen issue on Reddit ; Fix theory for the Switch BSOD(Blue Screen of Death): 1.) make sure your dock is plugged into the wall and your tv 2.) Hold the power button down for 12 seconds till it turns off (hard reset) 3.) immediately put your switch into the dock (and i mean no more that 1-2 seconds after) If anyone With a switch has Blue Screen of Death (BSoD), try what I did, and let me know if it works for you. This saved me $100, and I hope I can save others with this quick tip.

I don't even owned one yet and there's videos about broken of these? I'm impressed
@johnreyes69025 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if anyone has already said so, but "OL" actually does stand for "overload". In the case of resistance measurements it means the resistance between the probes is over the maximum your multimeter can measure. Air is a pretty good insulator, so the resistance between two non-touching probes is higher than the 10ish megohms maximum of most meters. You'll also get the same "OL" message if you measure more than 1000v, for example.

Giovanni Graziano it gets dry and crusty over time, heat transfer isn't optimal when that happens
@Tronicsfix5 жыл бұрын
Thermal paste is all about transferring heat. As thermal paste ages it gets dry and doesn't transfer heat away from the chip as well. The other problem is that once you remove something that has thermal paste on it you will break the seal that it had and then it won't transfer heat as well either.

Just saying... OL does mean overload. the continuity mode is basically the resistance measurement mode and in both modes the multimeter will display OL because the amount of resistance seen by the device is too big and cannot be measured, hence the word overload. Some multimeters (well, most of them) will also display OL in case you are trying to measure a current or voltage that is out of the multimeter's range. Open line or Open loop, as some say, can also be used, I guess, but it's not the correct term. Nevertheless, I really like your videos. Almost as much as Louis Rossmann's. Keep up the good work and keep 'em comin'!
