I very much enjoyed watching this 3-part series, even though it was considerably more time than I intended to spend down KZbin rabbit holes today. It's nice to see someone rescuing what would normally end up in a landfill somewhere and making it useful again. And it certainly doesn't hurt if you can turn a profit on it in the meantime. Great job on the presentation of the material - as you can tell from the comments, you even entertained people who have zero interest in repairing electronics! Great work!! 👍

I also enjoy his videos, but the prices to fix stuff on his website is quite high, some are close to the price of buying him a refurbished whole console... All his Switch repairs are above 100$, there's professional companies in my country that do them for like half the price or way less and change a lot the prices depending on what it needs and they also give warranty... And for example the PS4 Pro Hard Drive repair costs 129$ for the 1 TB HDD, that's literally a user replacement part and takes like 2 minutes to put a new one inside and for 129$ you can just buy a 1TB SSD instead of a crap HDD... ps: But anyway its his prices and he can put them at how much he wants, who agree buy his services and who doesn't go somewhere else...

@guily6669

I think there can only be something wrong... And its usually 2 chips that die the video chip or the charging chip if I remember well... Also while indeed some where killed by 3rd party docks or chargers, lot of ppl in forums claimed to only have used original charger\dock and got a problem on one of them... There's also the other common problems of Switch's bending and some to the point where the touch screen even starts to come out probably due to heat when its docked in that closed crap dock with almost no space in-between...
@ReaperUnreal

@cedric1997 While that's true, you'd think they would put in some fuses, diodes, etc, instead of having to replace an entire chip.
@OldMan_PJ
@OldMan_PJ 5 жыл бұрын
The problem isn't just with 3rd party docks, if you take the official power cord from the official dock and quickly unplug it from the dock then plug it directly into the Switch it will kill the Switch as well. It's a problem with the power supply trying to send more power directly into the Switch than it can handle. I've seen the same problem with some Lenovo laptops switching between power supplies and docks.

Its awesome seeing how you progress and evolve with how you make your videos. I'm lucky that KZbin recommended me a video of yours and I've been hooked ever since, along with finding more awesome channels like yours. Seeing you always trying new editing tricks, new camera angles and showing how you fix new parts that you've not shown before etc, you're getting bigger as a channel and you're upping the level of quality with each video, and I'm so happy to see that, and to see your channel grow. With videos like these, you not only watch an interesting video, but you always learn about how certain things are built and how they can be fixed, so your channel is just awesome as a whole. Huge props for all your hard work, both with fixing so many things and also with the amount of work you put into your videos :)

@@ErageFTWin 10 minutes for sending each one of 20, but I will say only 5 minutes if he batched them, and at least 30min for ordering, so that would be extra 2 hours. Still $36/hr which as it looks like this is also his day job, is good filler work.
